I'm serious,
an Australian non smoking related main sponsor could be important.
It will sure beat watching the ugly barcode stripes on the Ducati, there's maybe only one track where they can run it as Marlboro

Ducati don't need to show the Marlboro word. We are all talking about the bar code and that is what the sponsers want us to do. It very clever.

I wish it could happen...but we just dont have the money down here to support a full blown Motogp team.....Alberto P was trying along time ago for a major sponorship from down under for Casey !!!

I agree Morgue..
An Aussie sponser would be great!!
Unfortunately the Australian general public.. & Companies aren't that interested....
Even though we have...
Stoner,
Vermulen,
West,
Baylis,
Mcoy,
Beatie,
Gobert,
Magee,
Doohan,
Gardner,
Sheene[ok not an Aussie but retired here]
& anyone else I've forgotten..

Qantas Ducati? With a big kangaroo on the side?
I agree J.H. but smoking and drinking ads are finished, they're being strangled worldwide and phazed out.
They still get away with the barcode thing fot now but that won't last...

Thats the sad sorry state of motorsport here! I'm from the so called home of motorsport in Oz (Bathurst) and most people here frown upon the sport. If it wasn't for Yellow Pages and David Campezie Mark Webber would never be in F1. For that reason those that make from oz go so well because of what they had to do to get there. And there is lots of talent that never gets there. A local Bathurst boy use to race against Ant West and beat him on a showroom bike! And he still holds the lap records at a few Aust tracks. His family never had the cash
