i laugh every time someone mention banning electronics in motorsport.

firstly, electronics are there for all the rides; melandri is on the same bike and is struggling (which to be completely honest has really surprised me). the playing field is level.

secondly, it's like the argument in F1 where people argue that in the 60-70's where we had 4 wheel drift, powerslides etc that the racing was more exciting, and that electronics are to blame. technology moves forward and Dorna/F1 would be sticking their heads in the sand if they didn't embrace these new technologies.

the bottom line is: anything that makes lap times lower is progress. the best riders/drivers will always rise to the top.

I cant wait for the season to start! So many questions that we need answering! Im expecting Toseland to finish in the Top 10 this season. Whilst Casey may be running away with it in testing, its much like the F1 situation.

Until every racer is there, you cant compare!

Millenium boy gets big RAM upgrade, many GigaByte now for the robot bike. Take away his motherboard and watch all systems 'message - fatal error has occurred' and rider and bike go crash! bang! boom! off the track like he always did before, and Valentino takes his rightful place as skilled rider numero uno!!!

This is wright Marty but who can ride there bikes with the old limited TC maybe Stoner and the other new boys , but we all know that the old boys like Rossi can . And we all know that this was Rossi talent, able to control the power HIM SELF unfortunately this ability is not required so much these days .

I think the way Ducati is developing, they will have a hard time finishing all races on rubber if you remove TC / electronics completely.

Worse, Ducati's succes actually forces everyone to develop the bike with all the electronics in mind.

I am pretty sure that the power limitation maps and throttle progression curves are calibrated to the TC-indicated limit when TC is active so even for that you might need TC; to give you feedback on the set-up.

If you would make this bike run on a mechanical throttle link, Stoner and, In fact anyone on the grid, including Rossi, could probably "forget" actually finishing the race AND being in front at the same time.

No way back???
