i laugh every time someone mention banning electronics in motorsport.

firstly, electronics are there for all the rides; melandri is on the same bike and is struggling (which to be completely honest has really surprised me). the playing field is level.

secondly, it's like the argument in F1 where people argue that in the 60-70's where we had 4 wheel drift, powerslides etc that the racing was more exciting, and that electronics are to blame. technology moves forward and Dorna/F1 would be sticking their heads in the sand if they didn't embrace these new technologies.

the bottom line is: anything that makes lap times lower is progress. the best riders/drivers will always rise to the top.

When Foggy was winning on the early 916 (996) people were saying it's the bike. He said I did'nt see to many other red bikes up there?
Stoner is winning and I cannot see to many other red bikes up there?

Why is Rossi getting dragged into this? Surely the thread is about stoner? Saying that though - I think pedrosa & lorenzo will be stoners main rivals next year.

Wouldn't it be cool if Rossi went to wsbk. Has anyone won Motogp & wsbk championships?

If you guys cant handle all this advancement in Motogp or anything else.....then go back to your caves !!!

The thing about all this is Casey went 1 sec under the lap record.......I am glad it was Casey, but it wouldnt have worried me if it was someone else. The thing is this is an amazing performance and I wish I was there to see it as it must have been a perfect lap at an incredible speed......isnt speed what we all like to do when we go for a ride ??

Why dont you all just sit back and enjoy a bit of history being made as we have all watch history being made by so many riders before him. :) :)

JT could do it but not this year. He'll have his hands full learning a few new tracks. Hayden already proved you don't have to come through 125/250 to be on the top rung. Dude had to earn it. Edwards is consistent enough if he can step it up a level and win some races now that he doesn't have Rossi to look after. He certainly has Michelin behind him. He doesn't have many chances left to be the first WSBK/MotoGP WC though. This year could be his last chance. Stoner's not going to make it easy for anyone. He obviously means business. ;)
