i laugh every time someone mention banning electronics in motorsport.

firstly, electronics are there for all the rides; melandri is on the same bike and is struggling (which to be completely honest has really surprised me). the playing field is level.

secondly, it's like the argument in F1 where people argue that in the 60-70's where we had 4 wheel drift, powerslides etc that the racing was more exciting, and that electronics are to blame. technology moves forward and Dorna/F1 would be sticking their heads in the sand if they didn't embrace these new technologies.

the bottom line is: anything that makes lap times lower is progress. the best riders/drivers will always rise to the top.

Hey come on you guys you are making me feel like I am back at school......scary thought

Well said PP.... and while we on the subject of TC again !!! Kawasaki, Yamaha and Ducati all use Magneti Marelli, so does that mean that Casey and his crew are better at setting a bike up than the others ????

What they thought was a bad dream last year is becoming a recurring nightmare, Go Stoner!

Beyond all this juvenile parochial claptrap about rossi v stoner and whether stoner is the real deal with or without electronics...
What Im looking froward to is this season is this incredible mix of talent and technology coming our way in 2008:
Stoner/Duc, pushing on for 2.
Rossi/Yam, with a point to prove.
Lorenzo/Yam, crazy man, anything possible.
Pedrosa (remember him?)/Hon, huge talent and determination.
Hopkins/Kaw, He's ready and it has to be their year.
Vermulen/Suz, enormous potential, very cool customer.
PLUS Melandri, Elias, JT, Dovizioso, Edwards, de Angelis and the all the rest.
What a prospect, what a year!
Above all i want to see Guintoli and West do well.

Haven't thrown in a comment for ages but the prospect of 2008 being exciting are looking grim, I have a feeling the only possible challenger will be Pedrosa and that == a big snore. The days of Valentino being able to stuff around in practise and get serious on race day are long gone. You have to be impressed with Stoner's attitude to practise, to quote Lee Trevino: "There is no such thing as natural touch. Touch is something you create by hitting millions of golf balls". Like Wayne Rainey, it's little wonder he disappears from the the time they hit the first corner.

From the wintertesting to IRTA in Jerez, I wonder what will happen on the racetrack during the season. If after a hard battle, the 1st loser to cross the line is going to be good or bad about it and how the tension will evolve across the season.

CS needs to be carefull not to bin it in trying too hard to prove a point and I wonder how he will react to being the carrot all year. They will be all after him and there are at least 5 men that will keep him honest and from what We've seen Yam,Hon and Mich have picked up the gauntlet. See if CS gets bitter sometimes or if he can take it like man.

Anyway, hope they will get safely through the 1st corner and bring it home.
Sepang Next!!! :)

How dumb can all of you thinking Stoner success is all because of the TC on the Ducati? Why this TC system doesn't make the MotoGP into a Ducati Cup?? Well the answer is just because Ducati have only one Stoner. Maybe Ducati have the best TC system in the MotoGP, but still it is only Stoner who manage to use it 100%. All of you Stoner haters can think what ever you want, and some of you seems dumb enough to assume Stoner has been surfing at the www.Piratebay.com and got a hand on a "full version TC" crack for his Ducati software, all the other Ducati riders have of course only a limitied "demo" version.

I find it amazing that people out there who consider themselves fans call VR so much. If you have followed the sport at all you'll realise his style of riding is what has made the sport sooooo good. Quite frankly the mentality is mindboggling... We all know that CS had won nothing since being a kid. However he has managed to get a bike that works well with his on/off approach to the throttle ask your self honestly why no one else can ride it... The name of the game is to get the most from the package and that is what he does so well. Personally it looks like no one is gonna get near him again

For the sake of the sport I hope everybody else gets a little closer

Come on MotoGP!!!!!!!!
