Ace27 - it's not like PI is the only circuit on the calendar that he's been to before... Think Valencia, Donington, Laguna Seca, Misano, Qatar, Assen and Brno (He's won SBK races at most of them too!). Plus he'll have done a fair bit of testing at Sepang and Jerez.

I'll admit he's got tracks to learn and still has lots to learn about the bike.

Don't be fooled by the easygoing outward personality you see in the paddock. He's a real hard fighter once he gets the leathers on..

Go James!!

phvvvvvv to the naysayers, jt is a champion and hes beaten the best on sbks, he also done it riding for different manufacturers, also the blade was not a factory bike, albeit well prepared by ron ten. he's as aggressive as any one out there and he's super fit. he will come to his own on race day, when that musical metronomic brain starts putting in very consistent lap times and then he will show a lot of the top class riders his rear mich. i would like to thank his team for giving me a brit to cheer on and hope they will give him full technical support. go on bradders, now then what corner to sit at, craners copice or...

Well done James. But guys don't let's carried away with ourselves. James is not unlikely to win any races in 2008. He is on a 2007 second order machine and the best we can hope for is a podium position, maybe. If he shows pace and consistency throughout the season then hopefully he may secure a factory ride for 2009. Then we could look for race wins.

Arrived home this morning after 700mile overnight drive from PI,I was going to do a small report on each rider decided not because of aggrow from #46fans.So a special report for you Brits.Toseland is like a journeyman craftsman honing skills,at first slow into the corners trying different lines each lap, then picking up speed when he reduces it to 2 lines, then up to racing speed trying both lines, then single line then ten tens+ for 3or4 laps and back to the pits on his slow down lap you can almost see his brain working on the data, this was his proceedure for 3 days.Downside could be slow to learn new tracks and set ups, upside he respects machinery and could bring a lame duck home.Impressive
