No reason to beat up on Rossi for going the Bridgestone route. Did he and Michelin exchange wedding vows or something that I'm not aware of? No, the round black thingys he was provided with last year didn't perform the way he needed them to so he decided to try some different ones, period.

MOTOGP » Edwards: 20 laps, 20 seconds faster

Colin Edwards left the Phillip Island test having set the fifth fastest final day time, with a qualifying tyre, while also putting his Michelin race rubber through a 20-lap run (seven laps short of a full race distance).

lets face it, the bridgestones are workin fine, and remember rossi was up at the front with pedrosa at the jerez test.

im sure its gonna work out just fine, why hope that rossi fails? he's an entertaining rider and i like to see plenty of riders fighting for the win, i think thats when rossi comes into his own, look at germany 2006, held off 3 other honda riders...what a race.

anyway, when's the next test at sepang?

hey Ace27, obviously you weren't at Silverstone last year - ok, JT dropped it, but then he got back on and came from last to top 10. It was a bloody freezing cold wet day from first to last, they didn't even finish the programme it was so bad..... JT can ride in the wet.

I reckon Ace is about right JT can be abit up and down with his performance and tom you could do to finish your recolletion on last year at Silverstoner and also mention that James did get laped by the front runners. After saying all this got lots of hope for James theres know doubt in my mind he will be a front runner in moto gp and has the mental strenght to become the champion one day.

Its obvious reading many of the comments, that many posting here are clueless of Motogp history. Its also quite evident, most are incapable of discussion, regardless of whom they support. It inevitably has to get to name calling and rider bashing;not facts or spirited discussion, which this forum was known for, before the format change.
Such a pity really, because it has driven away most of the original forum members whose posts were a pleasure to read and contribute to. :?

Gina, I'm assuming the "situation" Rossi is going to perform like no one else could in his "situation" could, would be referring to him riding with his own team, on a top factory bike, with his choice of tire's... So, I'm assuming by "situation" you mean whatever new excuses he can come up with.

edwards might have a surprise or 2 up his sleave, it does seem that he is riding better on the tech 3 than what he did on the factory yamaha machine last year...

You guys are forgetting something... last year Michelin performed extrememly well in the pre-seasons tests! Rossi and Colin were whipping butt last pre-season prompting them to make statements of "we could go 1 and 2 in the title", and then look what happened come race time?? The tires sucked! I would love to see both Rossi and Colin do well as I am a huge fan of both, but I will wait till the actual racing starts before making any further predictions. You'd be wise to do the same.
