Ever ridden a Vespa? It's a daunting experience
you have the engine on the right side, having to counterbalance that all the time (newer ones have a spare wheel left)
then you have to handshift the fourspeed gearbox with a left hand rotating grip that travels further than your wrist...
My first experience was with a 150cc version with broken clutch cable in the snow. Slipperdee slide with those small wheels...

The Morgue, I have just checked out the eSo site I knew nothing of the history, believe me the Jawa was a far better motor than the JAP of course the British stood their ground and did very little to improve their JAP,a little like when the Japanese started making motor bikes the Brits thought this would pass, I still have my 2 best Jawa's and a 5 stud JAP and we get them out sometimes on a Track that we made around the scrub when the grand kids come visiting, I am sore for month after

Ace you've met your match some on the Forum would say about time I will reserve my judgement awaiting further developements

The Morgue that is another good site and has refreshed my old memory the Jawa road bikes that we got here were CZ Jawa's, and the original Speedway eSo that was first arrived here did also have eSo on the fuel tank as well as on the valve cover. Also that site did answer a question I asked the Ace many threads ago if he knew if the old Nepean training track was still there, and low and behold the last picture on that site has a picture of Black Betty on the Nepean track. The Picture of the eSo 1950 road racing bike looks like copy of the JAP motor, but the later pictures are of the proper 500cc Jawa that we loved all 47 horse power of it.WOW 3.15am here bed time

The Morgue you will have to ask Ace about the Black Betty having beautiful lines and almost like a woman, he has somehome crossed cultures between women and motor bikes, not sure at my age if I am jealous or if it has just sparked some old memories. I can't work it out how you find all these sites you do, I have read the eSo history again and again I now would like to know more, as we have little imformation about Eastern Bloc countries and their Speedway until the late sixties,all their riders were mad especially the Russians and the Poles. Its good to be back and not be guarded about my Speedway past I was always careful when posting trying not to mention it,now I don't give dam, THANKS

How about we keep this thread as a chat room when it is off the Forum we wouldn't get all the crap, and if somebodies left a message on this thread they just leave Rossi hot or RH at the end of their posting on the current Forum Topics??????

I can't say I'm an expert on these bikes Saltbush, just reasonably good at searching on the internet
I can dig a bit further on Jawa and speedway, there's bound to be more,
it is amazing what you can find on the www

Here for instance, I search on Jawa in Google, end up on a Dutch Jawa/Cz site, it has a sub-page about a small threewheel car with canvas cover that I've been searching for for ye***** Turns out it is a Velorex (also known from the sidecars)
with a 350 twin Jawa inside:

The Morgue how about we use this thread site for any subject chat sometimes you want to say something particular about the current Forum topic but you don't want the crap from everybody. For your information my cats are well quite well so is Mrs Saltbush and it looks like rain The internet is still confusing to me I would really like to be able to use like you there must be Tonnes of information posted if you know where to look.
