Whooooops I just made a big mistake my posting came through with my regular ID on it, it was meant to come through as Esso Jawa and it seems like I am gloating,therefore I will not be making anymore posts as I am very embrassesed, I may come back with another ID in a few months time, of course I will still follow the fortunes of you regular writers most who are usually wrong so behave yourselves.

JH;yep you can call me big headed,I would like to think proud of my achievements,and taking a gamble and going overseas to take on the best.Being a non drinker and almost a non party person I was able to keep my appearance money,bonuses and prize money separate and live off my contracted wages except for new equipment which I always had the best including tuners.With the money that I kept and invested wisely I now have a very comfortable life style and have been able to help establish my kids who were without a father when I was away 6months of the year and they were young,so now when I look at my family it was worth every effort/injury and sacrifice.JH at least you got 1 more post from me.

saltbush, you did something you loved for a living and made money out of it, you've got my respect, it can't have been easy being away from the family for that amount of time, i dunno why people call him a big head, jealousy possibly

As an old racer (and I don't consider myself a bighead) I know about the injuries and financial pain, although I never reached the bigtime I had some sucess and I'm proud but modest about my time in racing.

PS. I LOVE speedway and am jealous of the poms being able to go to races weekly sadly it has all but died in Victoria except for mildura.
