So Pedrosa chose the engine - yet now he can't test it due to injury - leaving Hayden to develop a bike with an engine not suited to him.

How about they let Nicky Hayden use the engine HE WANTS. :rolleyes:

Repsol did not get Dani into HRC Moto gp. 3 back to back championships did.

Also Nicky did get good support from Honda his first years there, and he still reckons they listen to him a lot. I dont think he d have a chance to be champ again at Suzi or Kawa. Boy s not dumb and knows what s good for him.

Fact remains that Honda needs to come up with something quickly, it seems that their rivals already found a good base (at least Ducati has) and only has to work on their best set ups. So if Honda wants a piece of the cake they realy need to speed up because the clock is ticking and there is not much test time left (Only Quatar and Jerez) Further I think that HRC needs Repsol for the fuel development like Ducati needs Shell..

Yamaha s pneu engine is already reliable , and very fast on the straights, according to Rossi. Apparently the Toyota input has been crucial.
I still think Honda will come up with something

You are not wrong Chu Chu, Dani, (love him or hate him) is pretty handy on a bike ! was at Donnington when he blasted the 250cc lap record and was sliding a 250 like a Moto GP bike!

I have worked for the Japanese and have some experience of the the way they think..Honda (the biggest engine manufacturer in the World) will no doubt get the engine right, its an honour thing. But I think that with Moto GP bikes so closely matched now, 10ths of a second can mean the difference between 1st and 5/6th..the 'whole' package has to be correct. Casey has found his place at Ducati, that bike is 'his'...look at Melandri, he's struggling with the same bike and I would rate Marco over Casey as a rider.

Kees, thats what i read ... Toyota has sorted the reliability troubles Yamaha was suffering from with the new engine according to Solo Moto
Grumpy, interesting statements by Marco after PI. He says Casey s setting do not suit him at all and that Casey uses TC perfectly; Marco says he s not using it much, cos he cannot make much of it. He s gettin frustrated already ...
