motogp is not about the best Tyre or best bike or best rider.
it is about the best combination of best at every thing together...
last year stoner had the best combination every thing fell in place every thing worked together perfectly.
rossi i known to be able to ride around problems, win races from the 10 place on the grid, chatter problems and so and so...
when ill see stoner do the same win races not on the fastest bike with grip problems then ill say he is a good as rossi!!! ;)

Please stop calling Valentino Rossi "the former 5 times world champion" He remains a 5 time title winner. Do the previous titles not count any more? Will Casey start this season as a former world champ?

Hi Kees..Is Saltbush a roving reporter just like in 60 minutes? I am new to MotoGP racing and from my observations Rossi'a Yamaha engines seemed to give good drive off corners then 200 odd metres down the track seemed to fall in a hole. His corner speed seemed very good although a little slow to get there but how much was he loosing in a straight line? 1 second per lap on the longer circuits? If you cannot hold your own in a straight line even if you are faster through the corners you are in for a difficult time. Yamaha will have to had made significant improvements in engine performance for Rossi to be more competitive in traffic rather than the ideal situation of a clear track.

Saltbush is our friend from down under who heas been on P.I., he will show up..
You are right about the handling of the Yamaha in the corners and also about the lack of engine performance compared to the Ducati, this was very obvious in the first race at quatar, the Yamaha was passed as if he stood still for a traffic light (btw that was one of my most funny moments of the last season) Therefore Vale needed to go late into the brakes to make up the time he had lost. (Vale is a real master in late braking as you will notice also in the coming races) But the late braking had also a negative effect for maintaining cornerspeed and causes more tyre problems, we all know what happend then..

an angry Rossi is the fastest Rossi... and seeing what mess has 2007 been - no wonder he wants to tidy up things...
and funny enough - haven't been around for some time - and I come back and find this panicked bunch of certain ppl / all from the same geographical area...faking they're having a good time.
My message is - not to worry! As everything always falls into the Natural order of things
:) as you could sense from this last topic... :)

I think Rossi will use the tactics he was forced into using last year. Losing it down the straight but braking deeper and using higher corner speed. Michelins weren't up to it but Bridgestones have proved to be able hold a decent level of edge grip until the end of the race. Rossi can manage a worn tyres so this should level the playing field somewhat. Although who's to say that Stoner won't be able to brake later using the same tyres? It will be interesting to see if Rossi can get off the corners quicker to try and slipstream stoner a bit more. I also think that Rossi will resort to some hard passing manouvers as he did to Gibernau. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty.
