Our resident technical guru Ace has already shown the Suzuki, Kawasak, Honda riders and engineers the error of their ways. So how can the Yamaha boys benefit from your unparalleled expertise Ace?

MOTOGP » Yamaha 'watching Lorenzo carefully'

"I'm watching Jorge very carefully. I would like to keep his preference for riding position, but if it is impossible then I will ask him to change his riding style" - Masao Furusawa.

one thing eurosport viewers always hear is randy mamola talking about moto gp riders 'picking the bike up' exiting corners. Max seemed to ride his moto gp bikes 250 style for ages until he finally began to 'pick the bike up'. Maybe Jorge is doing similar...carrying lots of corner speed into the turn rather than squaring it off and firing it out?

I'm no engineer, everthing i know about bikes came the hard way, by never having enough money to race with good stuff, always racing with no budget sleeping in the back of the car overnight, no mechanics, just friends to help drink beer at night, Using tyres down to the canvas, the best I could do was tweek what I had and learnt to get the best out of what I had.

Thats how i overcame peaple with "money". Out smarting them on track, better setup, exploiting there weakness, always improving, always learning working out what makes a difference.
I really understand how strange this is to non racers and armchair critics looking in from the outside, that peaple out there actually do these things and arnt on TV for all to see, I get that it's never acurd to you that there are more privateer racers, club racers and track day entuisiest than paid racers on TV. i understand your ignorence...afterall I was that person when I was 16 too? :p

I can relate Ace... In my few years of superkarting back in the early 90's it proved to me one thing that innovation was always my best bet being on a very limited budget, that said there were a some races when I was able to run with some of the quicker guys for a while before some mechanical drama and that was pretty satisfying... Money (lots of it) sure does make a big difference though to going faster/fastest/longer when it comes to any form of motor racing ;)

LOL Ace... I can heat a can of beans up but it does not make me a master chef. That was a very condescending post... You've turned the odd spanner so you know more about MotoGP than someone who hasn't? you know NOTHING about setting up a MotoGP bike so don't try and justify your silly comments cos people are laughing at you mate

I couldn't possibly care less what you think mate. I shall leave you and Marty Caine to calmly stroke each other's buttocks (as per usual) and come up with your MotoGP solutions whilst everybody else yawns and rolls their eyes. Full o' sheet mate
