Perhaps the communication problem last year was because of the tyres speaking French, the engine speaking Japanese and the rider speaking Italian. At least with Japanese tyres the engine will understand leaving only Valentino in the dark. At least it is a way forward. As for making the loudest noise, we who speak English find if we speak VERY VERY LOUDLY and SLOWLY to foreigners they understand and take our money. Perhaps if Furusawa San slows the engine to 300 rpm and takes the silencer off Rossi will have more chance.
Or perhaps the whole article lost something in the translation. I'll read it slowly to my TZ250 when I get home and see what it thinks.

MOTOGP » Yamaha screamer will 'never' return

"So the connection between throttle and tyre is not good with the screamer - don't explain this to the Kawasaki people!" - Masao Furusawa.

JT can claim that less TC is faster, but he struggled beginning of last season until Ten Kate got the new Magnetti Marelli TC unit (IIRC).

TC folks: At what point will you concede that electronics are ruining the sport? When they develop a GPS based system to apply the brakes at just the right moment? If they could get a computer to steer as well you could get REALLY consistent laptimes. At that point, Pedrosa-sized jockeys will simply have to hang on. Now that will be some exciting racing.

Ace27 and many more, i gotta give it to you guys! no dude, for real, i admire your level of imagination... your lad won a SINGLE and VERY controvercial championship and all of the suden yall say he is the best? even dare to compare him to people who have won 5, 7 WORLD championships, diferent machinaries, some of them even won races after been penalized 10sec for overtaking under ''yellow'' flag and still win the race with 3sec plus, finish seccond after have riden offtruck on the sand trap half way the race and rejoin at the end of the field... Please make me think the same way you do, please. I WANT IN!

he didnt exactly claim that. He said that if you whack it on full, the laptimes would be slow.

Ultimately
Take hte TC off and laptimes would be slower.
Put it on full, the laptimes are slow.

Somwehre in the middle, is the best setting.

Furusawa is correct; however Stoner lets the (screamer) Ducati do the talking (with the tyre).

I have to disagree with you, in part about the "ideal" being somewhere in the middle. It may be true of "experienced" MotoGP and superbike riders, but the fact is Stoner uses the MAX TC settings on the Duc - in fact more than any other Duc rider - effectivly turning the duc into a big 250GP bike.

Rossi can join Criville and KRjr because he only win 1 title for 500cc.

Rossi still due another title for 4-Stroke 990cc MotoGP and still incomparable with Doohan with 5 title in specifics class category. He only dominate for 4 seasons for 990cc and a loser in 800cc.

800cc is another new category replacing previous one which is not equivalent. Another thing, I doubt he could more than he was Honda (2 titles) with the inferior of Yamaha (2 titles) development.

So, when Honda were weak, Yamaha is worst. Then, he need to work 3 times harder than usual. An alternative, get better bike...
