I never thought I'd say this about a top Japanese bike racing boss, but I quite like this Furusawa. He comes across quite well, bit of a sense of humour and isn't shy with the technical info. Also, when was the last time a HRC official (for exmaple) said he had respect for a rider's style and wouldn't ask him to change it to suit the bike unless he had to? (As Furusawa said about Lorenzo).

be interesting to see if the other teams have found more or less than the 5 extra horsepower yamaha will have this weekend at Jerez. Guess we'll be able to tell by seeing if the top speed order (factory bikes) is still roughly: 1) Ducati 2) Honda/Kawasaki(?) 3) Suzuki/Yamaha.

MOTOGP » Yamaha: Five more 'ponies'...

"We have added five 'ponies' compared to last year's engine, but we will need another three or four by the first race" - Masao Furusawa.

This is all starting to sound like a broken record !!!!
Just coz people happen to be at PI and stated that IT SOUNDED LIKE CS WASNT USING AS MUCH TC AS THE OTHERS...you have a go at them. So what if he did have it turned up all the way......we all know Rossi had his own personal tyres flown in and now we know Casey uses TC.....so whats the problem ????
Since the start of motorcycle racing there has always been someone to step up and ride the new generation of bikes better than the last, if some of you people want to stay in the past I am sure there is racing somewhere other than here for you to watch.
Casey is the new generation and now it is up to everyone else to catch up ;)

Mine certainly did, and at times I wondered about those expensive to service desmo valves.

Pure genius in hindsight...

Saltbush......Thanks for the history lesson, I could have sworn that was a twin I rode nearly 40 years ago......now I have to find out what made me like twins.
If you want to find some great sites on speedway......just look in google under the History of Speedway, I spent half a wet day looking.....was excellent !!!!

Duke,Yep I was wondering what you meant about a twin Jawa,Chum Taylor is still going strong at 80years young,he upset the Priministers talk fest when the new Government had"How Can We Help You Meeting"in WA,Chum asked the cabinet if any of them could live on $540 per fortnight like the pensioners do,thats Chum he only see's things in black and white and when he does talk gets straight to the point,no good wasting breath if you are not going to get a reaction.I don't think Chum needs the pension. Yep I will have a look at your suggested site looks as though I need to put half a day away. The Morgue put up a real good site about the eSo/Jawa history I found out much about how Jawa came about.
