If the Michelins turn out to be the tyre for this year Hayden is the STRONGEST for the title. He's up against Danni, his only real threat riding Michelins and all the new boys from 250 and Wsbk. I really would like to see Hayden as Champion again as he still has faith and never gives up hope. It was Hayden who kept a cool head at Vallencia '06 with points BEHIND Vale to take a great 3rd place and wear the crown.

His only threat is from Casey who looks like he's going to destroy everyone again judging by the testing times. I know tests don't win Championships but it looks too likely again this year.

Hahaha... Yeah right. I always said the Kenlucky Kid was doing well in 06, due to PURE luck, or rather bad luck from all his rivals. Having a vastly superior bike and team helped, but luck is what got him the tile. Despite getting flamed on "merican boards,I maintained that Kenlucky''s luck cannot go on season after season & 07 would show his true worth. Granted, kenlucky''s tires suxed, but so did the others.Kenlucky kid is unlikly to repeat without massive luck and better bike.He does work a LOT harder than anybody, since day one..but that proves more so his limitations.

If Nicky gets decent tires and support from Honda the he should have an excellent year. I would like to see him win the title again so he can give all the arm chair critic on this site their TALL GLASS OF SHUT THE **** UP, but i don't think its going to happen.
If Honda throws all their support behind pedrobot like last year then Nicky doesn't have a chance.

I think he will be in the top 5 but this years fight is going to be between Casey, and Rossi with Nicky and the angry smurf in tow. Rossi has something to prove this year so don't be surprised if he takes the title.

Lets hope Nicky get a clue and moves to Suzuki with Spies in 09. Repsol doesn't give a crap about him.

Nicky was lucky, but he's a nice guy and a hard worker. I don't think he'll win, but he'll try his best and push the limits and no doubt fall off. ;)

Can't wait for the new season!!!

Jimmy my boy what are u basing your season predictions of Haydens failure on, your boyish good looks, or your astute intuition?

I know its not based on Motogp facts of winter testing. The last time i saw Nicky test, he was the TOP rider in a couple of those tests, and in the top 5 consistently. But according to you the "Oh wise arm chair sage" that Nicky is not going to be strong.

WFT?????

Get a clue Jimmy boy, look at his lap times and look at his over all performance during winter testing and THEN make an educated prediction and stay away from the crystal ball, the funny smelling green weed and rolling papers. Because we are not looking at the same test results.

Where was Hayden, you ask? Well, Mr. Ding Dong, after he was allowed to turn off the TC (or limit it's control), he was often the first finishing Michelin rider! Do us a favor and TIVO this years races (or video tape them), so you can refer to the facts prior to "foot in mouth" statements. --Slideways151--

As H Flick rightly pointed out, the tires are going to be the key this year.

I think the bike will be o.k. to start with and grow stronger through the season. Honda seems to be on a better path this year by not being so devoted to the mass centralization principal. The bike also appears to be adult-sized, which means it isn't built exclusively for Pedrosa.

But to me the tires are still the big question mark. I don't now and never have doubted Hayden's talent and abilities. Some do - that's their prerogative - but it seems to be based primarily in jingoism.

I don't base my opinions on riders due to their nationality, but rather on the way they race and how they conduct themselves.

Nickys statement is valid for most of the grid. Nickys 2006 championship is as valid as Caseys, but too many "weird" things happened during their season. Although ,in Casey's case, he probably would have still won it, but he would have had much more trouble getting the 10-mark.

In the end, and I repeat myself, "itdonmatte". They were THE 06/07 WC for eternity. So give the guys a break and the credit.

Looking at the results NOBODY can predict what will happen. Like Ducati/Stoner, a surprise package may win the WC. Maybe Casey or Vale bin it, trying too hard.

I hope everyone keeps it upright, but really you don't know....
