and another thing..having the highest speed(didn't think he had a speed advantage) implies in no way that you are stopping later than everyone else...how's that for physics Albert.......

MOTOGP » Lorenzo: Not as good as it looks...

At first glance, MotoGP rookie Jorge Lorenzo should have been delighted at finishing an excellent second fastest during the final day of official testing at Jerez - however, the Fiat Yamaha rider remains concerned about his race pace.

You have to wonder what position rossi would have been in had be stayed on michelin''s and will lorenzo be asking that factory yamaha go all bridgestone?

i''m not sure on the changing tyre make rule through the season, i know suzuki last done it in 2002 when they started on dunlops and moved to michelin.

It''s gonna be a big shame if the yam is working but the tyre''s hold lorenzo back.

Mar :-oty you are the biggest clown. If its just an excuse you think Rossi would have changed tyres. Would you have done that. Not many riders would do that. Sometimes we are tired of seeing Marty :-olowan and Ace 27 Himself commenting every line. Hey this is not a Chat line. Go suck a lollipop :-o

Saran....I know I wouldnt have changed tyres, I would have stayed loyal to a company who through my years as world champion looked after me and flew special tyres into suit the conditions.......I dont think any rider would have done that

What flavour do you like ;)

This is the second time Jorge and his crew have mentioned they are having the same problems that Rossi complained about last year.

In fairness Duke@ee, michelin have always done the same thing to all their championship contenders. They would also have flown specials to Honda (do you think Honda would have sat back and watched Yamaha collect their "super rubber" on Saturday night so they could win on Sunday, bearing in mind Honda "are" motogp?).

Rossi was only michelins favorite son because he was champion. Doohan before. etc etc

Why not change tyres, its already clear michelin dont have a great race tyre again and bridgestone are still miles ahead, its given rossi a reason to be more motivated...and like someone said before no rider had agreed to stick with one brand for life.

If it gives him motivation then why not, doesnt anyone think it would be interesting to see what someone as good as rossi is capable of on the same tyres as stoner?

wonder if the fact that rossi won't have to share the same garage with jorge had something to do with his decision to switch.

I wonder why peaple can make a connection between michilen front tyre comments from riders, but cant make the same connection with Casey and his troubles with the michilen front tyre in 06?????? Instead prefere to label Casey everthing bad under the sun except good.....The mind boggles, or the Rogers just full of hate really really badly :?.

Maybe it was because Stoner wrecked close to a GA-Zillion times in 06 vs. just having a few front end losses. Stoner had some really horrible wrecks in 06 and I'm no expert but, I'm guessing not all of his wrecks were because he was struggling with the front tire only. Stoner is a great rider no doubt but, it just makes one scratch their head to see him go from a season like 06 to a season like 07. The Ducati was a good match for him and "IMO" that bike is the reason why he's WC now, not because he's this big Rossi-slaying, MotoGP Angel of Fury. That bike combined with new tires increased his confidence and when he took bigger chances due to the increased confidence, it paid off.

If every other Ducati rider would just trust their bike and tires more like casey does, I'm sure some of the Vets could possibly run circles around him. The fact still remains that he's the only one who seems to be able to maximize the bike's full potential and sadly for the other Ducati riders, Stoner will continue to stay top dog there until the factory builds up faith in another. Pretty smart from a business aspect. Melandri stated that he doesn't have alot trust in the TC system which Stoner uses so much of. If you ask me, that lack of trust could lead to a lack of a job in the near future for him if he doesn't adapt FAST!

It is the Bridgstone front tyre, If he had it in 06, he may have one the WC then too.

We was hell fast then, and he still is now, there is nothing mind boggling about it.
The front makes a big diference, what front tyres do you run, what have you used, and what will you avoid?????
