The Crach report doen''t tell the full story. It would be helpful if Crash presented two sets of data for us please - a qualifying tyre table and a race tyre table. We know from the numbers that Casey was sticking to race tyres, so how well did the others go on race rubber before resorting to qualifiers?

Congratulations to the Michelin rookies for their performance. With the weather predicted to be the same for the race weekend all teams should have good data and be able to make a decision on setup and tyres will before the race. Not sure if the low number of laps for Stoner indicated they were content with their package or just did not want to take any more risks before the race. Ducati must have been happy fuel consumption or you would have thought they would have done more laps. Rossi's high number of laps indicates they are still looking for the best setup. Come next weekend we will see if anyone has been sandbagging. What is for sure is Ducati's manufacturers WC looks at risk..cont>

cont>>due to the lack of results other than Stoner in the Ducati camp. Will Yamaha be the manufacturers champ in 2008? I wonder if Melandri's contract has a performance clause or is it incentive based as it appears Stoner's initial contract was.

What is going on with motogp. Are these rookies really quicker than the seasoned veterans? Having said that, I don't really care. Go JT!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

this is so dumb - are they gonna race with temperatures at 15 c degrees? that is just not right

like the flamminnis said last week, "we dont need lights, we have overtakings"

Track temp was 13 °C (!) at midnight in the desert. I wonder what the air temp was and how it feels at 250 km/h? They can be lucky its dry...

Probably the M-guys just run the class Michelin Pilot Power tyres instead of the usual slicks to keep the temperature up. B and Duc can really start to worry although Crashey was good on racetyres. I wonder why the B-Yamaha is so much slower compared to the M-Yamaha's even on RaceTires. JB/DocR need to understand the B-tyre specifics more than expected.

Anyway, it seems the video-generation got a free "Qatar night" plug-in for their PS to train ahead of the test. "Need for speed" seems to be the key-word this year. ;)

Boot your engines ;)
