you know, Dani Pedrosa is always **** talking on Nicky Hayden and just about blaming everyone but himself when he doesnt go fast enough. It isnt good for the series if respol honda are really off the pace, especially for Nicky Hayden who you never really hear complain and just keeps his head down. I''d love to see Nicky outpace Dani for the entire year and have the last laugh. I hope he can figure out the Hnda and not Dani.

MOTOGP » Repsol Honda receives 2007 bikes!

Repsol Honda could make a complete U-turn and start the 2008 MotoGP season, at Qatar on Sunday night, using exactly the same RC212Vs that it finished last season with.

Well I would not be to quick to write off HRC just yet..... That said If they do not WIN the championship this year I would expect to see some major changes for 09. With rumours already of rossi also possibly moving to Ducati in 09, one has to wonder where that then leaves JB? The mighty HRC could well go gunning for reserection with a new super team headed by one Casey Stoner and with JB as his chief! keeping in mind the bottom line logic here is the mighty dollar which HRC has without any doubt and money is a powerful decison maker and Casey winning again in 08 will make him priceless ;)

Take a look at de puniet's 08 testing pictures, looks like he has Ohlins suspension instead of the HRC standard Showa. Very interesting, and he's doing pretty good.

If Honda get spanked again I wouldn't be surprised to see the rules dramatically changed once more- they would have the reduced intensity of the spectacle as an added bonus to count on. It's a shame they've got Nicky on their squad as the guy is OK and everything else in that team stinks either of arrogance or of robotism...

While I feel sorry for the riders, couldn't happen to a better team. HRC wanted 800cc now they are getting spanked by a small Italian operation, pretty funny if you ask me and a bit of justice. Expect a rule change for 09 or 10 though.

Marty....Interesting theory, that would mean Michelin would lose HRC as Casey would come over with BS.....Dont think he would leave Ducati though. JB possibly could go to Ducati just to learn more about Desmodromics.....Now there would be your super team......Ducati......Casey, Rossi and JB only thing is could Ducati and Malboro afford it :?

Ducati afford it/him?????? thats what I reckon especially if Casey wins again!
HRC would be willing to throw a lot cash at this problem to make it go away. Quite possibly the HRC marketing machine will see Casey as a solution to there current problems? Being able to bring back JB along with Casey also would be mighty attractive given JB's track record at Honda racing. An all aussie team again ala the Doohan era would surly be on the way to a winning combo. This is just pub talk speculation of course and a theory simply based on Casey winning again in 08, rossi not and HRC struggling....

Bottom line really is can Ducati afford to keep a 'winning' Casey for much longer :?

'If' Casey wins the title again in 08 he probably would have to be worth at 'least' as much as three time title less rossi????
As to tyres I cant see that being the primary driving issue really in deciding if Casey was to leave Ducati.....
HRC would in my opinion be the only other team able to lure Casey away from Ducati at present and then it would only be due to an overwealming salary increase on offer yes!!! Assuming HRC could then secure JB also at the end of 08 with a rossi/Ducati deal in fact occuring and JB not wanting to in on that......

All just a time passing thought of course but what would you do if you were Casey

Casey is signed with Ducati until 2010, money is not Casey's motivation, he says Ducati is like a home which would be more important than money, with the money he gets now, he doesn't live the high life, he prefers a new bow and arrow set than a yacht he never uses, and he has enough nice cars that he will have to pay rego for next year,,, he will not leave Ducati.
