what a load of ***** it''s a bore, all the talented riders are at the back of the field take away the rider aids and the rookies would have been nowhere, the talent has been taken away from this sport

Valentino has a real problem with front end management, sums up his last couple of years and the change to Bridgestone seemingly has hardly helped.

I doubt special treatment from Bridgestone either, Stoner and Ducati took them to the championship so I can't see a one off Yamaha getting any preferential treatment.

Let's see what happens.

Morgue IMO I don't think the track suited B'stone, lack of data for Rossi on the Yammy hurt it late in the race.

That and the TC on the M1 is too instucive so when the the rear spins up it hits to hard slowing him coming out AD's two passes in the last lap were in part a result of this, well the second was Rossi trying to pass him but Rossi couldn't make it stick either no grip or the TC intuded or both.

Can Rossi, Yamaha and Burgess make the package work, time will tell.

Don't get all carried away now, Lorenzo will come in 14th when the first raindrops fall,
this is only the first race of a long season and a very funny one for that
Rossi is only 29, compare that to Edwards or Capirossi :p

"Rossi, Yamaha and Burgess make the package work"

And thats all it comes down to really. Rossi wanted to move to BS, so it's not an excuse for weak performances. Any disadvantage on Bridgestones is his own fault. He should have stayed with Micheline, that way he has previous data and the rest of the teams data. Only a fool would have thought Michilin would make a crap tire two years in a row.

You can if and but all day in motor racing. Results are what they are. It's only the first race and I'm sure Rossi will frequently challenge for race wins, but Rossi clearly has more than just stoner to worry about this year. Lorenzo is fast and confidant.

Well Rossi is certainly being tested now - and he's not shining very brightly!

those people saying Rossi's tyres went off - and it was the bike that did it not the rider - LMAO! it's about managing your tyres and fuel for the whole race - not being quick for two or three laps.

We're witnessing a changing of the guard. if you don't like it then go watch another series. I think there is entry level racing where the bikes are all the same....

Rossi will probably win races this year and be a force - he always is.
But the only reason he isn't winning anymore is because he is being beaten.
Quite convincingly too.
