In the past Rossi's bike has lacked grip earlier in a race weekend then usually came good as the rubber went down.

This race was the total opposite in that grip levels were lower when the race started due to it's time.

I would not read too much into this result for Rossi other than saying he will be a real threat when we get to the warmer races.

By the way top ten 7 M tyres and 3 BS tyres. Positions 11 to last all BS tyres.

I tried to get a discussion started by using the carefully placed 'snotnose', it worked :p
Kees perfectly describes the use of it (snotneus) in the Dutch language.

CA: I did a little search after your question about the sideways entering of a turn and found one of the most interesting books on the technical sides of motorcycling dynamics. It's called "Motorcycle Handling And Chassis Design" written by Tony Foale and deals with all aspects of motorcycle handling. He goes really in-depth with explanations, diagrams, graphs and the occasional equations but nothing too complicated. I truly suggest the read, it a real eye opener.

The only people really doubting Rossi are the Aussies, if you notice alot of their post's are also very personal too, they love sticking the knife in to Rossi.

You will notice most of the sensible members on here actualy have respect for each other & riders no matter who we support.

I don't mind admitting that Casey is the man to beat & is a worthy champion, as for Lorenzo & dani they are both very good, I beleive Lorenzo will be beating Dani on a regular basis this year & certainly is going to win a few races this year.

Rossi is just a pure genius, any I think there are a few clowns on here who expects him to just adapt to the new tyres just like that, no way.

Onthefence, the main reason why the RCV and the Yamaha became a great bike is not because of your god Rossi, it thanks to two words JEREMY BURGESS.

Not much mention from Rossi which lap he lost 3rd gear, this would explain the shredded rear tire dropping down to 2nd gear then getting enough speed for 4th gear can shred a tire. The Rossi revival will begin at Jerez if his bike holds to-gether. Could be interesting if Rossi and Lorenzo finish on the podium Rossi thanking Bridgestone, and Lorenzo thanking Michelin, I wonder if the Yamaha bosses have throught of this piece of trivia,,,,very messy.

It is convenient as you can distinguish them easily, one in Fiat outfit with a red cap, one with a blue cap ;-)
Speaking of discharge, you as an Aussie must know what the term 'sportsmans handkerchief' means :p

Saltbush: Rossi lost 3rd gear? Where did you find this information? If it's true then not a very good start for Yamaha, bikes need to stay together in order to win races.
