The two leading Bridgestone riders, and world championship favourites, suffered very differed fortunes during MotoGP's first ever night race at Qatar on Sunday.

Casey was simply in another league in Qatar he just rode around them all like they where on 250's Its funny looking back on all the pathetic excuses offered up by the groupies previously as to why Stoner won last year. Nothing like a good smack in the face with the reality stick! ;) Where are the excuse makers now, busy scoffing down huge slices of humble pie no doubt hmmmm????
Very satisfying indeed.....

On ya Casey :D

The more I think about it, the biggest problem for most of this years contenders is that if Stoner gets 25 points plus in front before the half way point of the season while they are all trying to get their **** together.

Pinching points from each other is going to be a big issue, that said I don't think Stoner will win the next race, but he will most likely score good points.

They can't let him get away to a big points lead early in the season or it'll be way to hard to put pressure on him later in the season.

That's going to be a tough ask considering where things stand atm, Stoner is smart fast and confident, the rest have it all to do.

Stoner is in great shape. the Duke is in great shape.
it will be very to beat him this year. I'm sure it will happen from time to time.
the thing is that he said that he is much more relaxed then last year??? is it true?
last year all he had to lose was the Duke ride this year its the championship.
hope he copes with the pressure and keeps his head cool, but not that cool so well see some others on the top step ;)

Yup, Stoner's going to win this championship again. And then the rules will change, especially if he does it by a big margin. There's no way they'll let him and Ducati destroy the TV attendances.

They've already started talking about a rev-cap... I would say just ban the TC. But then again Dr. Costa is getting old and he couldn't handle all the high-siders :)

Think casey said of the rev-limit 'bring it on'

Do you think Rossi should have eased into the race, like if he didn't got straight to the front. I observed that Casey said he waited till the tyres came on.

Spose he wasn't to know though. Or testing didn't show it.

I fail to understand how anybody can say it was a boring race. When a rider leads from the first corner, to take the win, that's boring. When first place position changes multiple times, and the eventual winner has to fight his way through the pack. How is this boring? I ******* loved it!!

If they were not allowed to spray champagne or Cava on Sunday why did they not use lemonade instead
