It's got to be an improvement over that hound he rode in the first round.

Nicky showed, on the grid in Qatar a "for sale"-sign...I guess it was not for his house or car.

Honda has already left him? or he Honda? Before the season has started?

It's a shame, but many superb riders just don't suit the 800's... Look at Loris too... probably would have won the title in 2006 had it not been for Sete putting him out for a few races...

I think next year Respsol will either take on Dovi or Toseland, depends which one is doing better later into the season. Remember Toseland rode for Honda in WSB and he only went with Yamaha as Honda didn't have a ride for him. Apparently their relationship is still excellent. Plus Dovi was very impressive in Qatar

Ma, my origional comment was purely becauae you were claiming that Hayden dosent loose it, he does, and quite often. The comment about the other riders loosing it was just covering my a.**** because of cause they do. i never said that only hayden looses, so all im saying is hayden is no saint as claimed by some folk, thats all... And i would have thought that it was obvious the line dancing crack was aimed at Hayden being a hill billy, but take it what way you want!...

I hadn't said anything until you said "never seen anyone else lose it like Hayden does" and only commented then because it was a bit of an exageration!

To add to the bike debate, taken from MCN...

The Spaniard was using a new chassis that HRC engineers had hurriedly built in less than a week and now Nicky Hayden is hoping the improved frame will be offered to him in Jerez. Hayden said: “He (Dani) seems to think it's a big step forward, so hopefully I can get one of those for Jerez. They just made it between the test and the first race in Qatar so I'd like to try it.”

Doesn't excuse Dovi out-performing hayden, but it proves some people on here should get their facts straight.

Why anyone enjoys rider bashing I'll never know. Hayden worked his backside off during winter tests (took part in every single test) he rode the 2007 bike with the 2008 chassis, the 2008 pneumatic valve bike, anything Honda threw his way he tried it out. Even Michelin gave him hundreds of race and qualifying tires to try out, you name it he probably tested it, doing twice as many laps as anyone, the guy even swept part of the Sepang track after a rain shower. In Qatar, Pedrosa made the right choice and Hayden the wrong one, its pretty simple and it does happen, does he have to be crucified for this?

Dakota... i agree with you about how hard he works but:
when i look at his record the firs thing that comes to me is:
Alex Criville and Kenny Roberts JR.
they both won the championship in some kind of vacuum,no real dominant rider that year and then the year after finish nowhere.
i hope Hayden will do better this year but i don't think so. he will always be good for a podium somewhere.
good luck to him ;)

When it's all said and done, every rider in the series is at the top of their game. Some may be better than others, but they are all extremely talented, and vastly skilled. Their development styles may vary, their preferences in how a bike behaves may vary, but every one of them deserves respect at least for what the can do.

How they perform *off* the track, however, is often what colors our opinions. Is the quiet, self-effacing guy your cup of tea? Or is the brash, primadonna more your style? That's all up to the spectator really...

So..all that said, just watch the sport and appreciate it for what it is. It's just entertainment, in the end. Right?

Chu Chu, I am not interested in going back and forth on Nicky's riding. The only point I am making is that he did not have access to the same chassis that Dani had. On the Crash site, there is an interview where Nicky discusses that fact. He also says, he hopes to have it that chassis for Jerez.
