Can't agree more with Hayden. They've built tracks in countries that have very little "history" in racing, then when a 1000 people show up they decide to go into night racing (to hide empty grandstands?) saying that its to regain dwindling European audiences, so why not add more venues in Europe and the States where bike racing in any of its forms is truly appreciated.

Hopefully see the young Spaniards up near the front, there is potential for some great Pedrosa/Lorenzo battles this year! Maybe Elias will late brake himself up there too! (All probably behind the red ozzy missle mind you)

Given what both Dani & Nicky have said about the nature of the track that should put James T & Colin E in on a more or less equal footing too. Lorenzo was always going to be in there. Having won last year Valle will be under the microscope about tyre choice – not so sure Jerez will favour the Bridgestones. Casey will particularly want to put it on the Jerez podium to prove the point its not the sheer grunt of the Duke putting him at the front. And at least half of the rest of the paddock are gonna be saying to themselves 'I can do that here, I can'. … & fk knows what'll happen when De Puniet & Elias decide they both want the bit of tarmac someone else happens to be riding on ;-)

This could be one of the highlights of the year.

Poor Nicky!
He has been given full authority to develop the 2008 RCV to his own preference, while Dani was injured, and he failed big time! he spent all winter hesitating between 2007 and 2008 package, unable to give directions as to how to improve the 2008 bike, and ended thinking the 2007 was better because of Randy de Puniet's lap times on the sat bike. God knows how much I respect Nicky and how much I dislike Pedrosa, but we've all seen that in only a few test sessions Dani found a way to get the 2008 bike working, and totally outpaced Hayden during the race.

Now Hayden wants the same bike as Dani's... proving the Spaniard right...
I fear Nicky will be with Colin in the AMASBK in 2009

Mr Who Cares: nicky was fastest at Jerez in testing while Dani was out. that tells me that he will be in a much different position in a week.

So he got beat bad at Qatar like he admitted, it was one race! Jerez race will be a very different story. Wipe the foam off your mouth too, please. :D

Mr "who cares" you seem to forget that the 08 bike that Diddy did so well on at Qatar, was the same one that Nicky had spent developing..

The bike he developed and discarded?

I still maintain that the 2008 RC212 that Pedrosa had for Qatar was a different spec than that which was available to Hayden.

Since Hayden did the development it would seem that he put together a pretty decent bike for his teammate to race on.

I hope Hayden has identical equipment to that which Pedrosa has for Jerez.

Dirk. even if they do, do you think they need the same bike to be competitive?
they are so different one small and lean with smooth riding style the other heavy and bulky with speedway style.
I'm sure they will have the same to choose from i hope he builds the wright package for him.
