Who cares about Stoner he was an also ran......He's still on easily the fastest accelerating bike just check the commentators but is starting to look ordinary when conditions are good. More evidence of the bike not the rider....Even with Hayden it was the rider that made the difference....

Don't know about Dovi but would love to see toseland on a better bike(engine). Going off last year Dovis honda is quite a bit quicker than the old yam which for me makes tosey easily the better of the two rookies....

villieres.

The 2008 Aprilia of Bautista was clearly more powerfull. I read that the Gilera is basically a rebadged non-works Aprilia (from last year?). It does not at all have the same support. That is fact.

Bautista even knew that his bike was seizing and by passing Simoncello he made sure that both had to go down. Bautista was too greedy.

Simoncello deserved a win. Bautista should have settled with 2nd.

zx9r steve-

Pedrosa schooled everybody on Sunday, not just Hayden.

There were 4 riders who were clearly the class of the field - both Repsol Honda riders and both Fiat Yamaha riders. Throw in Stoner and there's your championship contender list.

The rest are fighting for scraps, at least until the Yamaha satellite riders get some more ponies. But that'll probably happen too late to affect the championship.

There appears to be not much wrong with the 07 Honda engine, but if they get a more powerful pneumatic engine soon then look out! With Honda concentrating resources on that motor the sattelite teams may suffer.

It's nice not to hear so much about tires like we did last season. So far.

Harryx, I heard the commentary on Eurosport which said that a Gilera was basically an Aprilia, but with a different engine. Maybe something like a KR but in reverse. Maybe I heard wrong, because my Portuguese isn't fluent.

Whatever it is, it looked pretty good in Simoncelli's hands. Maybe he got the settings right for Jerez, whilst the other Gilera's didn't.

Sorry english. It is nice to see how fast is Pedrosa and the style driving he does. Rossi couldn't go so fast as him. Pedrosa is the best driver. It is spectacular to see how the best driver makes evidence of his style and supremacy towards the rest, making them appear as crap (I hope this means what I want it to mean) Ok, see you and nice fun with Pedrosa in a good bike awaits us. :)
