Fortunately Casey got a few points and can regroup with only an 11 pt deficit at this beginning stage of the championship.Really enjoy seeing him ride like he does and looking forward to more riding displays through the season. His racing reminds me a little of Rainey and Lawson and at 22 he''s got years ahead of him.So focussed on the racing and the bottom line is he''s there to win, nothing else.As for all the negativety, predjiduce and stereotyping on these forums..its spoiling what could be a descent site to have a chat about MotoGP.I will be looking elsewhere.

Burbs 85: Maybe my eyes are not working properly, but I haven't seen Casey fall of the last race or the last season, in fact I have seen almost everybody fall off except for Casey...

Stoner was what is termed in Speedway as "Fenced" by Nakano, just lucky there was no fence there.

Give a 22 year old world champion some credits for fighting like he did. everyone knows Jerez isn't the 800cc Ducati's favorite track.
Furthermore, you can count on one hand the number of riders who would have continue like Casey did after he ran in the litter for the second time. Many other riders would have leave their bike there and back to the 5 stars hotel.
I'm disappointed Casey did finish 11th but this is going to be a tremendous growing experience for him and the Ducati team.

End of the day it's a simple racing incident, certainly not Shinya's fault in my view and he doesn't deserve the badmouthing he's getting from Stoner. In qualifying he kicked his foot out at Loris even though Loris wasn't even on the racing line. The lad needs to mature enough to accept when he makes mistakes and stop blaming other riders/tracks/weather/anything else that get's him off the hook.

I agree with Choppersan - and I really dont think he could have handled being fairing bashed by Toseland - he wouldnt have got 5th. Racing is racing and you cant expect other riders to pull out of your way to let you through. He is used riding from the front and not passing on corners - a bit like Dani. No doubt he is an excellent rider and a fantastic champ last year - but unless he puts his hot head away and races with maturity, he will find himself in the same situation as this weekend!
