We tackled this aspect to obtain a 'fuller' engine response especially mid-range and maintain peak power for longer. Finally, with regards to electronics, we modified a few sensors and actuator details to increase reliability and consequently, safety. One of the main reasons of our presence in racing is to develop technology to be transferred to production bikes, improving safety and making them even more fun to ride. Electronics play an important role in all this. An example of this is our new 1098 R, which is equipped with exactly the same traction control system used in Ducati racing bikes, making it the first bike in the world to feature a system able to combine safety with high performe

Ace 27 if there is something magic about Burgess it's the riders he has been working for,Spencer,Gardner, Doohan, and Rossi, I would like to see Ace 27 dream coming true, Burgess with West, but if West would agree Burgess will say no.

Engine wise The Ducati is developp in Maranello you know where they make the red car, money in coming from the Italian industry backing by Montzemelo the big boss and sponsor is the same as the red car, plenty of electronics and who knows maybe too much and not enough feedback, let say maybe a lack of rideability.

"Some of you like to push the idea Casey doesnt know whats happening, well he does."

"Livio needs to know why its hard to ride, thats the deal."

Thoses word are from Ace 27, my question is, if Stoner knows why what is happening I wonder why Suppo needs to know why it's hard to ride and needs to ask Bayliss to explain him why because Stoner knows what is happening, so Stoner should talk to Livio Suppo.

Casey "obviously" would assist the factory if he was allowed to undertake further testing on the GP tracks. DORNA do not allow GP riders to test on circuits during season hence Suppo drafting Troy and Max....

How can you expect Casey to know what is wrong with the other riders?

My view is; The GP8 is slightly diff from the GP7, the front Bridgstone is diff from last year, this I think has changed the feel at the bars. Dray has done some good work above and there lies the answer; ["In terms of chassis set-up, the new frame is lighter with optimised torsional and flexural rigidity to solve the rather minimal "chattering" that we experienced on a few occasions last year. The rear suspension geometry is also different to reduce the 'pumping' effect observed in certain tracks and in special conditions".] Any change to the chassis will effect "the feel" of the bike, as will a new tyre construction and suspension geometry. The shock and swingarm may have been moved?

The Ducati has always been hard to ride, The new bikes (800's) are even harder.
It seems Casey has done significantly better than VR in 2004 in his Yamaha debut, where he won on a very good bike, Casey earned more points on a complete dog of a bike on his debut. So the GP7 had good feel but was still unruley to open the throttle, good feel being Casey could "feel" the front of the tyre and how it was reacting to his input, when it started to "give way" or slide and so used that feeling to "push" the bike and ride it on the limits consistantly, longer.

The other Ducati riders, can have the exact same set up as Casey, (I bet some have done this) but cant seem to use his style/way, They dont feel what Casey feels or more likely they dont like that feel. Ducati's customer bikes are built slower than the the factory bikes but still should be a little faster than that, that they are grouped together on the track suggest similar performance outcome no matter the track/conditions. Casey is the exception, he is consistently faster by a very long way, Initially everyone thought VR could not be beaton, he won so maney times peaple forgot it was possible, Casey beat VR a few times in 06, was consistently fastest out the gate on almost every track.

The point is the signs were always there that Casey was very fast, but knowone could see past VR's hypnosis, so it was wrongly assumed by many peaple it was only the bike or the tyres. Now weirdly enough its all changed, and the credit the Ducati engineers took is looking a little excesive. What they did right was create a fast motor, and a chassis that while was hard to handle provided the key ingredient, feedback.
Luvio Suppo must discover for the sake of Ducati if it was Casey or the bike, We feel it was Casey and they are (publicly) slowly realising that.
Troy and Max should be able to say "this has a bad/no feeling" or the oppersite.
Its possible what they thought was wrong was right
