Goodness me. How hard is it to understand? At least you aren''t trapped INSIDE your vehicle if anything happens. Usually you''re of before it hits anything solid or catches fire. And IF you crash, chances are pretty big you end up with only some bruises or some minor fractures at most. Hey, getting TO the circuit is more dangerous than actually being ON it.

Let Bernie happily destroy F1 with his ''safety'' features and stop whining over the real motorised racing. Geez.

Ecclestone probably would get a heart attack only by watching a bike race. That's why F1 is now so boring: at least Ecclestone can survive a race watching it...

To tell Schumacher that "he could get hurt" is absurd. Ecclestone isn't his daddy. This guy knows more about how to "take risks" then Bernie himself.

On the other hand, Michael probably also thought, lying on the ground unhurt besides his bike, "cool it next time, or "miss Schumacher" won't let me anymore next time..."

Great show though. What I really like about it, is that it is genuine. He really avoided to tell anyone about it, so he could have some fun undisturbed by the media. He needs the adrenaline kick. :)

“I don't quite understand why he would now risk getting himself seriously injured. It makes no sense to me.”

No, Bernie, you wouldn't understand. You only understand making yourself heaps of money and have no clue about SPORT. Good on MS for doing things that he enjoys.

Fire Bernie ,Fire! As an old guy,he should recall the "fire days"!
A good friend of mine and a great small time road racer in my district
from the 1960s and now deceased.Told me long ago, that he was afraid to race cars
when he was coming up.When I asked why,he told me,"I didn't want to burn to
death. At least with a motorbike you are thrown clear"!Out!Gammaman.

Bernie, it's time to retire now.

And please be careful, ******* your 30 year younger than you are wife could be dangerous, even more than bikes for schumi.

Of course, this is the worst sort of news for Bernie. "F1 Legend Begins Motorcycle Racing Career (And ******* Loves It!)"

Then there are Murray Walker's comments. And Mosely's a dirty--possibly twisted--old kink. And the scandals, etc., etc.

F1 is being punched around a bit. MotoGP seems to have regained its spark and WSB is going nicely so of course Bernie must poo-poo Shumi's new love. He's just being territorial and passive-aggressive.

Sad.

Schumi is a racer, plain & simple. Hugely competitive, ruthless, highly focused. Just what's needed to be a champion.
Now he needs a new challenge, and bikes seem to rock his boat.
Good on him - let's see what he can do, and bolloxs to the poison dwarf - who cares what he thinks anyway?
