Despite reports to the contrary, Fiat Yamaha has confirmed that Jorge Lorenzo sustained a fractured left ankle during his huge Friday morning highside at Shanghai - plus severe trauma and bruising to parts of his right ankle and foot.

Holy crap! Jorge looks like he''s practicing a triple gainer off of the 10m platform over at the Olympic diving pool.

Maybe these bikes aren''t the monsters that the 500s were, but they can still bite.

i hope he's sensible and takes a rest,he's proved his gymnastic ability with a perfect 10....you cant ride a motogp bike with a busted ankle.

I'm definitely no medical expert but doesn't 'severe trauma' usually mean some ligament/tendon damage which can often take much longer to get back to 100% that a break?

I'll bet he'll race sunday and try and salvage some points.
