Good to see Rossi back at the top again...Good to see Stoner the moaner blame everybody but himself...Would have liked to see Colin finish on the podium. This year is shaping up better than last year now that the bikes are all equal or there abouts on power, proving that the Ducati was a flash in the pan last year and that Moaner,,,sorry Stoner isn't really that exceptional a rider as some blinkered people thought..... :p

John Spoonemore, the yam and ducati were hitting 337 and 343 kph - these are 800cc bikes, i wouldnt be surprised the spring honda engine could very well overrev on a 1.2km straight ...

At what level is your bike tuned John? have you removed all physical restrictions from it? have you removed any electronic limiter that comes as standard on a lot of road vehicles to prevent them being over revved and increase the longevity of the engine? have you ever raced any performance vehicle of any kind? im suspecting no to all of them ... in a tow it would be very easy for the bike to pick up enough momentum to be travelling faster than the motor can push it, therefor the engine is likely to start bending things. Turn a push bike upside down and pedal it with your hand as fast as you can go, the wheel will eventually go faster than you can turn the pedals, similar situation.

I was wondering why Dani wasn't slipstreaming Vale down the straight. Makes perfect sense now.
I seized my first bike (CG125!) topping it out with a tailwind. I think you can ruin any engine by over-revving it.

^^ I don't think Dani was making excuses- I think maybe he was explaining the error he and his crew made with the gearing

Dani is an honest guy. (Sometimes too honest as we all know). Their spring valve engine is no match for the pneumatic valve engine of the Yamaha.

Why do you think Honda wanted an engine speed limiter imposed: to avoid that the Ducati (Stoner that is) runs away with the championship. At least that was the word after Qatar. I guess they mind less now. :) and I wonder how their pneumatic engine is going to deliver.

Dani really pushed Rossi to the limit. 1.59'10(?) as a race lap is really fast. Rossi showed the respect he had for Dani's performance after the race. At least they had a good time.

Nice championship. The one who wins it earned it... :p

Firstly,
Well done to our man Valentino, I beleive that's just the start, the spark's back, Julian Ryder said after the race Rossi was not gone for long was he, he was never away, just did'nt have the full ****nal of tools to do the job.

That problem has been overcome now, & to who ever said the rossi fans are releived he won again, ur dead right M8 I'm personaly very happy but also excited by it.

I bet Bridgestone are happy too, I mean they have the most talented guy developing qualifyers for them & it won't be long before Rossi is taking poles too.

It's funny how the Stoner fans was saying China was a bridgestone/Ducati track.

The Blame Game
The current holder of that crown finished a lonely race 15 seconds behind Rossi. Casey Stoner's 3rd place marked an important upturn after the past two difficult races at Jerez and Estoril, and kept him in contention for the championship. But the Australian's difficulties are starting to take their toll: in Parc Ferme, Stoner was seething, and when interviewed, Stoner immediately complained about his tire, and that he'd been advised to take a different one to the tire he'd used during practice, and that it hadn't worked out. Stoner is known as a frank speaker, but this was a barely concealed public retribution to his team...Contd.
