JH, what I mean is that anyone here who posts would like to talk to other likeminded people about the sport. The problem is that there is too much hatred towards each other as some people get upset when other posters dont pat them on the back with "good response" etc.
"Pulling the legs off spiders" is a hard art to master. Marty does a good job of it and he is prepared to take one on the chin to promote response.
Look at the forum, only Marty can get 5 or so posters at a time to converse with him. That is a feat in itself as open discussion is what makes the threads run. Replies of "fu:@ you too!" end conversation.
Ps. I'm NOT MARTY and not an Aussie either.

A1. I understand what you meant the first time. Your comments would be far more valid if directed at the people you are defending.

I could post a general slagging to any group of people and get a "good" response. This doesn't make it a good discussion, just a game of tennis.

Thats the point JH. It's not aimed at anyone.

A1 & JH : Nobody expects everyone to agree on a forum, but it would be nice to have a discussion without the slagfest directed at anyone with an opposing opinion. People like Marty & Ace sort of kill that. As an Australian (dare I admit that on this forum?) , it really makes me cringe for my fellow Ozzies, and makes me sad that the rest of the world has such a crappy view of us in general

But A1 - you ARE aiming your point to everybody who is not Marty or Ace. You are saying that MArty should not be called stupid, but you do not tell Marty that he should not call other peoble offensive names. Just a little hypocrite- no?
Look, controversy is good it makes forums like this alive. But utterly slagging Rossi fans just becasue they like Rossi is nonsense. Marty is obviously starved for any attention (bad attention is better than no attention)like an unloved child. I am sure there are forums for that somewhere on the net. Or him and Ace can hook up and create a new one. This here should be a forum about motorsport..... cont.

Peter, Marty ISNT offensive towards posters on the board but he will throw punches back if poked with a stick from most of the Vale lovin' crew who seem to think it's OK to call Stoner the "moaner" and get their knickers in a twist over Marty calling Vale "Clown". He calls Vale "Clown" due to the fact Vale DID look like Krusty the clown from the Simpsons when Vale had that horrible permy thing on his head that he has had the decency to take a pair of clippers to! Marty doesn't disrespect Vale skills, just his antics and the fact that to some Vale does no wrong while they criticise every other rider. Marty is an opposite singular to SOME Vale fans.

A1 - thanks for your reply, but it seems we both are readying different forums. I have yet to see one post from MArty, no matter what the topic is about, where he does not attack Rossi or his fans. And I don't mean becasue he defents Stoner. No - Marty is all about knocking Rossi and his fans - regardless how Stoner does. And it's not even about Stoner anymore - any other rider will do as long as he kicks "the old clown" in the a.r.s.e. And "poking with the stick" is Marty's favorit past time as he mentioned in several of his posts. Basically just to get attention.
A1 - wether Marty is just starving for attention or a really nutter, at least you and I can agree to disagree

I agree with Peter00. It's a matter of balance: The problmem with him isn't that he is against Rossi fans: it is that he is commenting almost entirely against Rossi fans in the most offensive way that crash.net allows him. Causing attention in such a way is no smart thing. Any fool could dance naked in front of the parliament and get attention but this wouldn't prove his intelligence.

Surely there could only be one question here............ why the hell would he leave the worlds greatest ever sport!.......... bike racing or car raczzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
