This guy really does seem to be the real deal. Can''t say I like him much (can''t say I know him either!!) but he deserves respect for these performances. If he is exagerating his injuries (which I don''t think he is), we all saw the crash in China and the way he simply couldn''t push the bike when he stalled it on the line. It is a good job Rossi is gathering momentum because I think he will need it to fend off Lorenzo in the races to follow when he is fit. I also think he might be getting to Pedrosa a little.

MOTOGP » Lorenzo stuns with crutches to second

Illustrious team-mate Valentino Rossi may have stolen the limelight with his 90th grand prix victory in Sunday's French Grand Prix, but injured rookie Jorge Lorenzo arguably produced the ride of the day.

If Ducati does not solve their problems and if we exclude BAD LUCK (DNFs)... the title will be decided between Rossi, Lorenzo and Dani.

Lorenzo this year was just fantastic... I have no words.

People probably think Lorenzo is faking his injury because he keeps the smirk on his face, no matter how much pain he is in.
He proved all wrong (including me) who though he shouldn't race on sunday.
Whatever you think about this guy, you can't ignore the results, he's a major factor in the championship now.
If he wins it on the first go it will be a fantastic achievement. (Roberts Sr. did the same)

Surely adrenalin played a big part in Lorenzo's performance in France and China, the smile on his face at the end of both races shows how much he enjoys and gets a kick from racing. The title fight has got to be between the two Fiat yamaha riders and Dani, expect to see Dani want to use Tadayuki Okada's next generation machine when Tady makes his wild card appearance and if the machine makes a leap forward over the current bike.

Get the feeling that Hayden knows he is getting his P45 at the end of the season and it shows in his results/riding, no fight when challenged on track, not that that there ever was IMO

young and talent...everybody realised that..first manufacturers.

he is not racing like a rookie, but he''s acting like a rookie..

everybody, press, boss, fans, talkin about his unbleivible races..
but this kid keeps crashing every little bone in his body. crashing
and riding are two different things..he was lucky in china..
if he pushes like that or if ''they'' keep pushing him like that
not the season, but he will finish his carrer so early and that will
make the real bikers really sorry...

born to ride, ride to live

I don't agree with cem gur.

I watch Lorenzo since it was racing in 250 with Pedrosa. At that time, you could see his talent. He does not crash a lot, what happened was a missfortune, maybe he is really pushing his luck beyond the limit ... so I find it strange that he crashed so many times in the last month.

And about crashing... remember what Doohan said about Stoner 2 years ago? something like ... it's more easy to teach a FAST guy NOT to crash, than to teach a guy to go fast.

He's just looking for the limit. My guess is he's riding that Yamaha like a 250 and just needs to adapt to the
higher weight of the bike. Three poles and a win later he only gets confirmation that he is on the right track,
no confidence problems for Lorenzo :p
Looks very much like Biaggis entrance in the premier class doesn't? He won his first race!

If you watch the practice and warm ups you can tell he's not faking the injuries. It took him ages just to turn his bike around and he looked in real trouble trying to do it.

I'm like the others - can't say that I like all the theatricals (that's why we all hate Rossi, and his moaning) but he is the real deal. Also he can seem to ride a bike without it looking out of control and with both of his feet on the footpegs (perhaps he just couldn't move them off this weekend!)

Clearly the Yamaha is the weapon of choice at the moment, but Casey looked back to his normal self this weekend, but I was disappointed that it was the normal let Rossi through and not try to repass him from Edwards etc

I don't get it. If Rossi doesn't win then he's past it and/or finished. If he does win then it doesn't matter how he does it, it's boring. What do Rossi haters want? :?.
