We were at Donington yesterday (for the eighth year in a row) and heard no abuse of Stoner by the crowd. Yes, at the podium there was more applause and cheering for Rossi, but that's only to be expected at Donington. Was it 2006 when Pedrosa disappeared into the distance, won the race and no-one noticed because Vale had won the battle for second?

We're big Rossi fans, and we cheered and applauded Stoner for his win. If we cheered a little louder when Vale came on to the podium, you'll just have to forgive us.

Stoner is a punky a$$ bit-ch that whines and complains about everything. He needs a severe smack-down. No wonder so many people don't like him. If it wasn't for electronics and improved electronics in the past few races he wouldn't have won or even been on the podium. At least he thanked Ducati for the new electronics and all their hard work to improve his bike. Without the electronics he'd be binning it each race. When Rossi, Pedrosa and Lorenzo beat him again who will he blame next.

i went to donington for the weekend last year and on saturday this year and i know the type of muppet who was booing stoner - it would've been the p155ed up kn0bhe@ds who were drinking from 9 in the morning and passing out by 5 in the afternoon who were only there for the booze and rossi (with a pinch of toseland chucked in there) and wouldn't have known who redding was until they saw the last lap of the 125 race.

i have to say i prefer the BSB and WSB as the fans attending are usually more knowledgeable and don't behave like the average football yob... it's a sad state of affairs when muppets like this 'represent' the average motorcycling fan for the biggest event of the year over here.

675 "how can these people just POUR onto the track on the cooldown lap"... never seen an italian GP i take it?... the italians are invading the track on the last lap not even waiting until after the flag! This year after Rossi won he was riding across the grass and run off areas as the track was too full of fans! i believe in previous years hes been knockedoff his biek by them as well!

From the TV coverage i didnt see any fans congratualting stoner but i also didnt see any insulting or abusing him as he rode past. I dont doubt that he got some boos, and im not condoning it if its as bad as he says, but i wouldnt put it past him to exagerate it. ah well, never mind he'll survive im sure.

Thats bang out of order, its like having the holigan element in the sport.
I am british yet i am a Rossi fan, but i do like all the other riders tating part in the sport including Stoner.
When we got onto the track on their warm down lap i was on the dunlop straight and i didnt take a pic of Casey, i applauded him when he approached me!
Got some good pics of Rossi though.
Just ignore those idiots who boo you Casey, they are not real fans, just Effing idiots!
And this is ment to be a good familly and friends day out aswell, What would the young fans or kids think of that sort of attitude from certain elements in the crowd.
Its motorsport, not bloody football.

I was on the infield hillside above the old hairpin Saturday and Sunday and as many have already explained here the 'booers' weren't GP fans or race fans they were simply mindless Rossi fans. Now before the abuse starts, not all Rossi fans are that way, the majority of them that I know are fans for the right reasons...sadly England seems to have a lot who happen to be Rossi fans for the wrong reasons which seem to be similar to the old football hooligan mentality of the 80s. These are the same people who booed Biaggi on the podium in 2003 and who really shouldn't be allowed into any MotoGP race. Yesterday was a great day over all and many of the Rossi fans around me all clapped respectfully

doG that is a good and very fare and honest comment there!
I totally agree..
Its good to support your favourite rider or team, but feelings towards other riders and teams should be nuetral!
End of the day its ment to be a good fun day out that everyone can enjoy!
Shame there is a minority in the crowd that give us genuine supports/fans of the sport a bad name!
They should be named and shamed and banned from all events!
I was on the dunlop straight and i everyone there was great, and were enjoying our selves.
End of the day, we all should count our selves lucky that we get to see these superstars racing from the track!
ITs just great to be there, no matter what the result! :)

poor old Casey - he did well and didnt deserve the booing - poor old JT - didnt deserve to fall and T1 - but we all tend to our own when it comes down to it - I always cheer for Valentino - after all he is British - isnt he?
