another reason I have not been back to donington for the Gp the facilities have not improved since the 80's and the number of idiots you get at world round's in the uk beggers belief same happens at brands world supers. I'm no Stoner fan and maybe he could try to win over the crowd a bit he does have a habit of throwing his dummy out of the pram but no way did he deserve the reception he got. This just does not happen abroad and why I will continue to visit european circuit in preference to the uk

Typical Stoner attitude shown again ... He should not concentrate on what the crowd thinks of him. He should simply get his act together .. which he still hasnt.
Once he does that, the crowd will give him more respect.

Rossi, Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Edwards, Toseland, Hopkins, Spies ...etc etc .. They've all earnt their respect !!

Its such a shame that the crowd can't appreciate a good rider, regardless of his nationality, public persona etc. I am a devout Casey fan and proudly British, but it makes me wonder why I bother!!! There's no excuse for booing a rider whatsoever.

And how on earth you can give Man Utd winning the Champions League is beyond me when half the players are foreign and the club has American owners!

Okay, so people here really need to lay off of the Donington crowd. I was there, in with thousands on the inside of Starkeys, and there was nothing but support for all riders (aside maybe Iannone when he fell down ).

I heard a few moans and groans about Stoner, but that was more due to the manner in which he won the race. I heard no booing from my portion of the crowd.

What did disgust me however was the manner in which a hundred or so fans ran onto the track whilst the backmarkers were still racing. So dangerous.

@ Shami Perera - what do all of those riders you mention have in common ? None of them have dared to beat the Rossi god that these bozos worship to the detriment of all others. The main reason Stoner is copping it from them is that he has beaten Rossi at Donnington for the last two years. Edwards earned respect because he did what he was supposed to do - play backup to Rossi. Do you seriously think Pedrosa wouldn't have ben booed if he had beaten Rossi for the last 2 years ? And lastly - you say Spies has earned respect WTF ?????
