Stoner hasn't earned respect of the crowd? Does he has to? Stoner rides his bike and does what he's supposed to do. Thumps up for Stoner! Perfect race!

If someone is a 'whiner' it's Rossi. Who chanced tyrebrand only because the old brand couldn't deliver winning tyres. Bo-hoo! No he has the winning tyre brand and still looses... Yamaha has the better bike at the moment and also better package, rider, bike, tyres and team.

I want to see good closeup batles for points and for victory.

Yes-- foo--- and he gets more pain that Stoner could dream off.

Jimmy --- respect has to be earned not given....

Crash-- I ahve noticed that a welsh person has somehow gained access to the site. Can I suggest a filter for the following 'It's lovely isn't' it, wasn't it and shouldn't it, all without question marks, this should help to prevent further exposure...

Absolutely no excuse for this. It doesn't matter if Stoner is not popular with any crowd. He was unstopable on Sunday and I bet Rossi is glad he had the opportunity to build a buffer because the tide might have turned.

Timbo. Thanks for the balanced view and for rising above some of the idiots at Donnington.

74 forever. Your post are little better than the people you are criticising. When you say "They" I assume you mean every single "pom" then?

Taffy, you are spot on with the crowds. These English Monkeys (I'm English, so no returns of "you can't comment as you're a foreigner") are the same lame old football hooligans who went to Las Vegas to BOO the American Anthem when Floyd Mayweather was just about to destroy Ricky Hatton. A small majority were there in hope that Ricky may win. The reality is they were p1ssed up on that evil called alcohol and were following the rest of the crowd who knew nothing of what they were witnessing or cared about as long as "their" favourite won. A sad day for being British AGAIN....

It's the oldest story in the book, Stoner craves what he knows he will never have, the kind of popularity and adoration that Rossi has 'worldwide', most can hide it but Stoner shows a side of his character that most people hide when they are not getting what they want me included..and this whether you like it or not is mainly responsible for his unbelievable lack of popularity....First impressions count and Stoners attitude on the world stage has meant that he will never get what he wants and this can only lead to a downward spiral..The only surprise is that his groupies seem to follow the same flaw...

What a bunch of racist pricks read this board. All those morons like 74Forever, maheadebear and silop need to grow up. They sound like whining 13 year olds who know nothing but prefer to exercise their racism by making stupid comments that tar an entire nation with the same brush.

Yes, the booing was unacceptable. Did it represent an entire nation? Not likely. Maybe you tossers should watch a football match in Turkey if you want to see bad sportsmanship from the crowd. Or how about Spain, where anybody who dares to beat their local heroes gets a very bad reception.

Oh yes, and for anybody who puts the booing down to racism, how then to explain the massive support for guys like Haga, Yanagawa, Kiyonari, Lavilla, Bayliss, Edwards etc in the UK?

The problem Stoner has is his attitude. He never smiles, never has a laugh with the camera or crowd as Edwards, Capirossi and Rossi etc do, never puts his hand up and says 'it was my fault' when things go wrong. When he wins looks as fed up as ever!!!

He needs to chill out a bit, he never be as popular as Rossi because Rossi looks as though he is enjoying himself.

Having said that, there was no need for any boos, but where I was stood on the track as he came past on the cooling down lap he had nothing but thumbs up signals and cheering. He didn't mention that though did he....no he bloody moaned again!!!
