Stoner is a dedicated rider with outstanding talent and an integral part of this great sport. So are all the other riders in the field and they all deserve our respect. Anyone who is disrespectfull to any rider is not a bike fan but a piss filled yobbo who should stay at home.

I think you'll find that most of the crowd were booing Hazel Bloody Ble*******

Stoner is a star, Blears is skum just like the rest of the British Labour Government.

The frustration was being vented upon her and not Casey who should do his talking on his bike.

It's great to see yet another crash.net headline that sensationalises a story.

Stoner has a right to make comment on some of the crowds behaviour. How many esteemed posters on this site would enjoy "fans" running onto the track during the cool down lap and giving you the V sign or making ******* motions as you ride by?

It should also be pointed out that it has been reported on a number of UK bike forums that a vocal minority of the crowd, not all of the 90,000 who attended, engaged in such poor sportsmanship.

Err how many others refused to show up at a charity event because they got a bit of stick....Prolific --- you are right he does need to rise above it, trying to tell people to like you is embarrassing, personally as a character he comes across as a bit of a monster and will never I'm afraid receive the adoration he craves..Can see him in AMA in 2 years time licking his wounds...

Booing is not acceptable anywhere. To be honest. Stoner is an athlete and he has been brought up away from home and probaly with not many friends. In his mind his only way to earn respect is to win. Plain and simple and athlete is there to win and he shouldn't have to bother taking advice from Rossi or Lorenzo. We all know that he can never live up to Rossi's personality. So let him do things his own way. I like Stoner cause he gets down and gets the job done(not pass couple of races but fingers crossed) when he is on form he whips it. Keep it up Casey.

Anyone notice Rossi's body-language on the podium and the way that he was trying to encourage the crowd to applaud and congratulate CS ?

Maybe that's why people love him, he is able to project the image of being a great sportsman with ease, in addition to being a fantastic racer.

CS still has a lot to learn about PR and the way he behaves to the other riders.

IMHO all the BOOing and poor behaviour displayed by the minority (from where I was standing) of "Fans" actually make rationally-minded folk sympathise with CS - how counter-productive is that ??

Toughen up a bit CS - and Good Luck from this fan for 2008 !

Beating VR should not be punishable !!

I would have thought winning at donnington 2 years on the bounce
in pretty dominant fashion would have gained some respect..

he certainly goes well...

so why give him **** when he wins?

The media focus this has received (both this year and last) will ensure that Stoner is treated poorly in Donnington for years to come- idiots love attention.
