Credit where it's due - Casey is dominating parctise so far on a rider's track. He is responsible for his bike setup just like all the other riders and seems to have figured out what he needs which is pretty good for a 22 year old getting no help from his teammate. Saying he would be slow on anything but a Ducati is ******** - he finished 7th on a privateer Honda as a 20 year old rookie in 2006 including a pole and a podium which was none too shabby.
You don't have to like the guy but if you can't see he is a seriously fast and talented rider then you're blind.

this is great, my 2 fav''s at the top of the timesheets, and Dani isn''''t at the place where I saw my first live MotoGP race last year

Factory Ducati''s apparently make nice book ends. If the software is to explain Casey going faster, then why is the opposite true for Marco?

Caparossi should heed the advice given to Lorenzo - get healed before you climb back on and make it much worse. His hand got a fairly good whack on the tarmac. It will be interesting to see if Spies rides tomorrow.

Coventry -- I suspect the reason is similar to the one for Casey doing nothing on the Honda that both Marco and Elias won on....but who really knows except them, would love to know personally..
The Ducati with Stoner aboard is now so far ahead of the competition the japs should be embarrassed. They need to improve acceleration and corner exit quick sharpish...

Well done Ducati and Stoner, me thinks they have been clever about it and have more info from F1 etc.,
I would however bet my house that Casey wouldn't win a race on anything but the duke..

J Burgess, how can you say the Ducati is so far ahead when the other factory GP8 is 4.5 seconds off the pace in last place?? Clearly Melandri is a better rider than the Ducati is making him look, and Stoner is doing a great job on it.

PS. Stoner finished ahead of Elias on the Honda in 06 despite 7 non finishes, and Melandri had been in GP for a few years already. What happened the moment Casey got factory support - no more front end issues, bye bye Rossi.

I seem to remember him getting beaten by his now team mate due to bad luck while on a honda. I suppose it is terrible when your 22 and only riden for 2 teams. Should have at least swapped every 6 months. The likes of Edwards & Hopkins are still to win their first. Must be crap riders than. Can't deny they haven't had factory bikes.
They all have 2 wheels, TC and handle bars. Stop moaning, your sounding like Stoner.

You so hit the nail on the head there Mille R

All the Stoner haters hate him cause he moans so much when he doesnt moan anywhere near as much as the moaners on here.

You have a go at his attitude to other riders and him complaining and making excuses. My god look at yourselves.

Atleast when he says something happened to the bike he knows what he's talking about. You lot have no idea what you're talking about and wouldn't know your ass from your elbow compared to this guy, and Rossi and every other rider on the grid. :?
