this was something u hadnt done since Jerez 2007..

your still the man everyone wants to beat out there and the one all
the newcomers look to...

It's unfortunate that all we see lately is somebody running away with the lead and maybe a good fight for next three or four positions if we're lucky. On any given day, stoner or pedrossa can take off and win from the front but rossi seems to be one of the few that can fight it out and really make a race of it.

It is what it is I guess but it would be nice to see more dog fights for first place - good old fashined on the edge of your seat stuff.

I'm right there with you Far Canal. People can say what that want about Rossi but, when the man wins, he wins with style 99% of the time! Alot of other racers can't say that. I mean Rossi actually enjoys "Earning" his victories. Not saying that the others don't earn theirs but, Rossi fights from start to finish and doesn't back down till the checkered flag. This season, he seems to be a computer on wheels a little bit. For example, look at the way he rode the race Sunday, he fought hard enough to keep Pedrosa away and kept him from gaining points over him. He wants his crown back and I'm pretty sure he'll get it back this year and I can say that it's about time! :) GOOOOO ROSSI!

Yes I hope Rossi can pull something out of the bag.

But to be honest things are looking ominus for every other rider apart from casey.

what ever they have done with the electronics on the Ducati has had a massive impact & it seems as if the TC system they have on the ducati is just awesome.

As I said, at Donnington I was watching all the bikes down the hil & then up it & Stoner was visibly quicker without much twitching at all.

I think that pretty much Casey can just open the throttle & the electronics are doing the rest apart from his braking, you have to say hat's off to them though because if that's what's needed to be up front then so be it.

What the other teams need to be concentrating on is improving on their TC, I mean Casey has let the cat out of the bag, now the other teams engineers need to get a grip & get developing some decent electronics of their own.

Jimmy,

I'm with you 100% on what you say above, in fairness it's not the rossi fans though in general who are nasty & twisted is it, it's mostly the aussies that seem to have a bee in their bonnet over a legend that they struggle to come to terms with.

Nigel

I take your comments as an insult. I am an Australian and I have followed Motogp/500 since the late 80's. I own and ride bikes + do trackdays. The amount of Australian riders I see with Rossi replica helmets, far out weights other rider replicas. I am not a Casey Stoner fan, infact I own a CV Shoei replica and a Suomy TB replica helmet. While I agree there are some silly Stoner fans on this forum, there are the same amount of bitter and twisted Rossi fans as well, the majority of them are kids. I agree Rossi is one of the greats, but I can also see that Stoner won the championship on merit, and if a few bitter posters could admit this, would have more intelligent posting.

What astounding lack of insight, Nigel. There are only a couple of wind-up merchants on here bagging Rossi, and thankfully they've mostly shut up since he's started winning again (thank Allah). Most Stoner fans are definding him, not attacking Rossi.

There are many more Rossi fans bagging Stoner which is understandable given that he has a much bigger fan base. To imply that the number of whinging Rossi fans is somehow less that the whinging Stoner fans takes a fairly distorted vision.

Can someone explain to me why some people are Stoner fans? I agree he is a great rider, but he's boring as hell to watch, and the little I can tell of him personally he's a bit whiney and not at all charismatic. What's the appeal?
