Just no. Totally Gutted.

Eurosports commentating team is one of the best on TV, and their full days coverage of all three races, and some, destroys what the BBC do.

******* Dorna. MotoGP is slowly but surely going the way of F1. There must an equivalent of Bernie Ecclestone in there somewhere... I give it 5 - 7 years maximum before it been totally ruined by the money hungry people in charge.

The only thing that worries me now, is that eurosport will
just put things before motogp now until the end of the season..

i remember in 2004 they didnt show the race from brazil live
because it didnt fit in with the schedule...probably volleyball
was on at the time...or curling..

and bbc dont have ad breaks in between the race or qualifying...
all the races, live and uninterrupted sounds good to me :)

the loss of eurosport's comprehensive coverage - qualifying, 125s, 250s, on top of motogp, is disastrous. as will be the loss of genuine and knowledgeable commentators such as Ryder and Mamola, and expert guests such as Neil Spalding and riders themselves. The loss of ad breaks in no way compensates for this

unfortunately, the main commentators always make fools of themselves - Moody, Cox, Harris, Burnicle - in trying to sound enthusiastic and excited.

toseland had better stay for a few more years otherwise the bbc will drop it like a hot potato and it'll end up on itv, c4 or 5 in the uk. and their commentators are the worst of all...

Absolutely dismal news - a massive thumbs down from this end.

Completely disagree with the comments above suggesting the BBC might do stuff like show Friday free practice sessions live - it would be nice if they did but realistically that will never happen. Eurosport do a brilliant job - from what I know from friends in Australia, Canada, NZ, China etc, we have the best coverage by a mile. In fact, Eurosport's MotoGP coverage was the reason we bought a Sky box in the first place back in 2001/2.

I'm so gutted I'm going to sell the sky dish!

The beebs coverage will always be second fiddle to F1, footie, horses, tennis, golf, rugby, grass growing... ahem cricket tournaments etc etc etc. As so many of you have pointed out, what about 125s, 250s and qualifying?

Well the evil Dorna empire hasn't missed that one - we can all PAY THEIR PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION and watch it on the web. It's been building up for a couple of years now - if they get Toby Jules and Randy on their commentary team I MIGHT just be tempted.

RIP Eurosport - sorely missed. Damn this sucks...

Well that was a well thought out strategy.. Well done Dorna!!

Probably good in principle to have coverage on local networks will it get wider audience I doubt it. Lets face it not all networks are going to cover the 125, 250 & MotoGP classes so what will get dropped the 125 & 250 of course.
This might not be a problem to some but isn't the idea of the smaller classes to be used as a feeder to the MotoGP class?
What are the sponsors going to think when the local talent are in smaller classes and can't get the TV airtime? Does Mr Ezpeleta expect to get the same level of sponsorship support for these smaller classes without the coverage, I doubt it.

Well done.. Good thinking guys.

This is a sad day for Motogp fans. The BBC will never commit to the kind of coverage eurosport does, their commentry team in Moodie,Ryder and Mamola is first class and the depth of knowledge they bring compared the BBC lot (Who is Charlie Cox, was''nt he a touring car driver?)

We will never get to see the support races and the BBC will always give preference to the procession that is formula one, infact they will probably give preference to repeated shows or the sunday omnibus of eastenders!

This is indeed a shame.

So we'll have to watch the **** coverage from those ******* at the BBC. That dozy old codger Parrish, some ****hole car bloke and that stupid little girl Perry. Yeah, and god forbid it clashes with the ******* tiddly-winks.

Unbelievable.
