Got to love some reporters...
When one of them asked Stoner if the improvements to his bike where all down to Sete Gibernau testing for him.... Good one..lol Wasn't he slower then Marco Melandri?

Great job Stoner on a bike nobody else seems to be able to ride.

Maybe he should take a lesson from John Hopkins and tuck his ears into his cap

Yep, Rossi's lever was gone but for a stub and he still set a 137 flat. If he hadn't crashed it would have been entertaining watching Casey smoke him with low 136s. Oh well. Nicky's desperation tuck was hilarious.

Stoner has to win like this especially coming from where he is in the championship.

This is a big win mentaly for Stoner and Ducati. To win by a big margin will be causing extreme pressure in the Rossi and Pedrosa camps on both riders and engineers.

You can imagine Rossi and Pedrosa at the start line saying "you cant let stoner get away or thats it". It's already claimed Rossi at Assen, and Pedrosa just settled for second.

The same tactic was used by Doohan to great success.

Hayden to Ducati, Dovizioso to HRC, Melandri to Gresini.

I think his name is Chad Reed, actually from the same town as Casey Stoner.

Steve - ok, I didn't see it, the point is taken and accepted. I have no doubt that Stoner is very tightly wound and needs to chill out a bit, but that's not uncharacteristic of quite a few of the top motorsport guys, some blokes have to be in the zone to do their thing. Not everybody can be a Valentino or a Sheene.
