maybe they thot it's better to quickly help a rider who's able to mount and compete, then turn around and help the hurt but not critically injured one. coz it just makes sense to help the one who's going to continue to compete.

Rossi didn't lose the entire gear lever, the small shifter section which you use your boot to downshift was missing. He had to put his whole boot under the lever to change gears, this explains why his initial lap times straight after the accident were quite slow why he was adapting...

What a hugely arrogant comment - 'everybody comes to watch Rossi'.
I don't for one - I think the guy is hugely over-hyped and always glad when anyone else wins. The sport is bigger than any one rider.

Sycho, you're right, it is bigger than one person. But one person has put it on the world stage and made it main stream, and thats Rossi, just like Wayne Gardener ans Barry Sheene. The guys is out there enjoying himself and puts his hand up when he ****s up. People like that. People like how he he can make up time and overtake like nobody else out there. He's just exciting to watch. So no, he's isn't bigger than the sport. But when he retires, watch the viewing figures and race day attendances drop.

I absolutely agree,
If you had seen the masses cheering him on yesterday, it was amazing. It looked as nothing happened at the front, people waited for Rossi, stood up an waved. Ofcourse at the finish line there was decent clapping for the winners but it was like there was a race within a race. He had the presence of mind to wave and thank the crowd for the support on his slowing down lap, though he must have been gutted. You can like him or not but Valentino Rossi is the single most popular racer out there, Dorna will be in dire straits when he leaves the sport.

it's a fact when Rossi goes the crowds will dwindle, even nicky hayden was quoted as saying " it's cos of Valentino I'm making the money I am now"

WOW
True hero of this race. He rode without a whole shifter 26 laps and scored 3rd best lap time. UN fricking believable
HAT DOWN
Too bad for the mistake cos i would love to see battle for No.1 with stoner on pace and rossi definitely on pace too.
Cant wait for next one xD :)

The marshals should put the barrier at Mr Randy De Puniet first to secure him from other riders that may fall at the same place before attending to Mr Valentino Rossi.

After all, Mr Randy De Puniet was injured and it was caused by Mr Velentino Rossi.

Even if VR could keep it upright there were no chance to match Stoner's pace! And only overtook 2 riders after that is only average.

It looks like that on paper Andy, but he was half a minute down on them at the start of the race,
that's quite an achievement. Melandri and Elias probably thought they were being lapped at the time :p

Go Vale! :)
