Nicky was lucky in 06? Do you Pedrosa/Rossi fanboys remember when pedrosa, Nickys OWN teammate punted/rammed him off the track the race before the final of the season?!? Was that good luck?

MOTOGP » Edwards, Hayden talk 'karma corner'

Nicky Hayden's engine 'quits' on run to the line at Assen, handing a podium finish to Colin Edwards - whom Hayden inherited victory from at the same place in 2006!

Captain Pugwash, I agree totally, how can you compare losing a place because of your own mistake, with losing place because your bike fails you?
No karma there, just bad luck for Nick, and a lucky fluke for Colin.

Jimmy Mansi & Eva you have alot to learn! LUCK is one of the formula of any race. Not just a good bike, software & rider. So what you two are saying is: If a rider crashes or suffers some technical DNF he should maintain that position??? Hate to bust the bubble you two live in, but that never gonna happen. Who ever wins due to another misfortune deserves the win and respect! Learn to RESPECT every rider out there. You two can never do what they are doing, or better than them.

GP Fan, pointed out the lack of respect/knowledge you both have. Then you EVA try to prove otherwise. If you did you would have written otherwise in the first post.

Rossi is washed up, Pedrossa has never won a championship and never will, watch for a big crash this year that takes him out of contention. Stoner is looking very good because of the electronics. Put them all on equal equipment and Hayden would smoke them. Face it. :-o

Regarding Colin and Nicky in 2006... Colin fell off through his own fault? Hmmm, I just watched it again. If you look, Nicky leaves Colin no room to take the corner properly as he heads for the gravel, therefore Colin had to take the corner much tighter than he would have done. There was no way he was going to make the exit apex so went onto the grass... I'm not saying it was Hicky's "fault", but he wasn't blameless

By the way, "Hicky" was a typo and not a shot at Nicky!

Unbelievable. You people are still talking about 2006!?!?!? Hayden won because he made it to the podium practically every race: sort of like the year Pedro is having: who, ironically is leading the championship. Your blind hate for certain riders can't be masked by faulty logic. He won: get over it.

BTW, I watched the replay too, looked like Edwards went in way too deep and was either going to crash or get repassed. Hayden blew the corner too, but made it thru and won. A pretty exciting finish if you ask me: something sorely lacking in the 2 years since.

pcpubay, you say washed up? I don't think any of the riders are "washed up". You my friend are not a true fan of the sport. And Colin had the ride of the race going before Nicky ran out. If Colin had got forth it still would have been epic!

After Nicky showed the world he's capable of riding with the best,I was naive enough to think the kids and bigotted idiots would get off his back.
You don't win the World Championship based on Luck. One race, maybe but not an entire season. He's as deserving a rider as anyone on the grid and hopefully Honda has FINALLY given him a machine that suits him. A shame they chose to favor Jockey Boy over him. Of course Repsol is Spanish and so is Dorna....
