Casey stoner has passed his setup onto Marco melandri and Marco stated it was of no use to him as he had even more issues . Casey has tried to help marco out , but its not up to him to help him . Casey has his own job to do .. and that does not include to baby feed melandri .... Its time for marco to move on and give either Sete or the test rider for ducati a go .....

st ... it's not like Casey wrapped it up & got down in front of Marco on one knee to present it to him ...

It was a team decision to share the info. While Casey works for them, they own the fruits of his labour ... & they need to get both bikes up front however they do it.

Yes Johnny, Picked my 1098S 3 weeks ago, I've only got 1500km on the clock, I put the Termi race system on it last week, road it for 250km man what a bike, she wheel stands from 4000rpm. At the moment she's on track, to be on track in about 2-3 weeks.
Waiting on some parts from the US. I have a club event comming up so I've hooked up with my local Ducati owners club and 3 other 1098S owners and were going to put our heads together to sort out some geometry and suspension stuff.
Ive done what I can with getting more hp out if it, now Im making it lite. Next engine mod will be about 2500k mark where I'll have the cams set too world super stock level.

First track shakedown is on the 19th

i dont think any motogp rider will get down on one knee and show their team mate ....

Melandri is a very good rider , he just cant get to grips with the Duc .... Not only physically but I think that mentally it is effecting him .. Everyone speaking about the subject also rumours floating around .... Then a 35 ol comes around after 2 years of not riding and he is blitzing the times (fair enough its not in a race simulation) but he is showing marco the bike can be ridden quickly like casey does ...

Before Ducati let Gibernau go at the end of '06 he had one or two tests with the first 800cc Duke alongside Loris while he was developing the bike. If you can remember back to the first 800's starting to test, the Ducati was unrivalled & Loris was extremely quick. However I remember seeing a lap time of Gibernau's at one of those tests that was in a different league to everybody else, including Loris! However due to his poor '06 performance & the contract with Stoner already being put into place, Ducati didn't think it was enough to keep him on for another year.
I've always rated Sete & i think if he hasn't quite hit the drop off point in terms of age yet, he could have a few more seasons.

Back in Spain Gibernau said he will ride only if they can give him a contract for 2009.

Its a good first attempt, but compared to a 1098S its crap.

Its bigger, heavier and slower......and its not a Ducati. The 1098 is refined excellence KTM have a long way to go before the RC8 could even dream about competing with a 1098.
Peaple flock around my 1098S like its a Ferrari or somethng, the RC8 scares peaple off. :) :) :)

Perhaps it is, but I'll tell ya something... In the Donnington car park this year I parked up right next to an RC8, and 2 bikes away was a 1098R. The RC8 had a constant stream of people stopping to look at it, the 1098R didn't... That means a lot to a lot of bike owners (not to me, I ride a Triumph...)
