********

just as was predicted, no live FPs, Warmups, 125 and 250 classes,
and just think what will happen to live MotoGP if it clashes with the almighty F1
snooze-a-thons

Not to mention the dull BBC commentary team

thanks Dorna, you have just put the first nail in the coffin of the motorcycle World Championships

Stop all of your whining already!

So it's going to be BBC. So what? Big deal. But mainly, GET USED TO IT.

We're still going to get to see the races (the most important part, right?) and the qualifying and this talk of "de-prioritising" because of F1 is nonsense. F1 will be on BBC1, MotoGP on BBC2. We're *never* going to miss a race.

And, frankly, the Eurosport commentators aren't brilliant. It's just that the old-school are used to them. If the BBC could get hold of Randy Mamola that'd be great. But I can live without Toby Moody and Julian Ryder - Steve Parrish does a fine job.

The world keeps turning. If you're a true MotoGP fan you'll put up and shut up and continue to enjoy the sport.

BBCi is on digital so it makes no diff if it is on BBC3 or BBCi as you still be seeing it through your telly. The i-player on the other is for when you miss it on the telly (something i recently did with Top Gear and it's fine).
It's done now so not bothering to continue whinging about it but i really feel for some of our European neighbours as it doesn't seem they are all being given a fair alternative to Eurosport which has now lost the rights. Anyhow, it's about bloody time they had something on the Beeb that i was happy to pay a licence fee towards and if Randy etc join up there finally might be :)

And how many times have I pressed the red interactive button to watch qualifying or the 125/250 race only to find the schedule changed and it has been replaced by the ladies scone baking championship or the cumbrian mens cheese rolling semi-finals?

Don't expect any form of motorsport if it's the wimbledon fortnight or 5-nations rugby!

I've just been on the BBC website, specifically the "Motorbike" bit, and it was last updated on 7th July, with Hopkins bad leg headlining.

Now, forgive me, but if the BBC are so into bikes and the fans that are going to be using their facilities, wouldn't or shouldn't there be an article on their website stating what's happening and what they are going to be doing for the sport. Why do we have to hear it from, and this is not a dig at Crash.net by any means, second hand sources.

Surely the "Horses Mouth" is the best place to start.

Louise i couldn't agree more on that front, their reporting of motorsport in general is well below average and usually take a lot longer to get put up than all of the other sports they cover

Thank you Rubik, maybe we could offer the BBC website our services as armchair reporters. Oh silly me, we won't be able to cover everything because it's not all accessible to people without freeview, cable or the internet.

Which I thought was the point of giving it to the BBC, to enable more viewers to see more Motorcycle racing. Hhmmmm am I missing something?

As feared, substandard coverage, which will result in dwindling audiences, less sponsorship interest and ultimately a dying championship (if it isn''t already).

What on earth are Dorna thinking!?!

If TVE in Spain and DSF in Germany can show all races live on the same channel, why can''t we get the same standard?

I''ve written to both the BBC and Dorna, no reply from either.

As for Charlie Cox, if you want to read what he REALLY thinks, check out this month''s Motorcycle Racer...

The only way i''d be happy about charlie cox continuing to commentate on MotoGp would be for his fellow presenters to regularly refer to him as ''****'' throughout the coverage

If the BBC do take on the eurosport commentary team it would be fabulous and would mean I could watch with the sound turned up AND no stupid adverts. This would be an upgrade. If the BBC keep their current commentary team I'm simply not watching any more.

Boo hoo! I'm not watching motogp anymore because they don't have my favourite commentators! So Tokehashi, your not really a fan of motogp just the commentators? So if moody/mamola/ryder commentated on the Spanish "throw a donkey of a cliff face" national championship you would watch it just because of the commentators! Your pathetic man!
