********

just as was predicted, no live FPs, Warmups, 125 and 250 classes,
and just think what will happen to live MotoGP if it clashes with the almighty F1
snooze-a-thons

Not to mention the dull BBC commentary team

thanks Dorna, you have just put the first nail in the coffin of the motorcycle World Championships

its not as bad as i thought it would be the extent of coverage looks to be fairly good...but i have my reservations about other sports clashing and what they would do, i mean eurosport doesn't cover itself with glory when events like the tour de bore are shown over everything else pushing motogp qualifying to 11pm not to mention the poxy adverts.
As long as the beeb take it seriously and sort out the 'commentators' they have now. Whitman and ryder in the commentry box with parrish and mamola on the grid keeping suzy as presenter. Moody has started to annoy me with how he says 'year' recently and the less said about cox the better.

fingers crossed b.b.c.

Again, not defending the Beeb here but we are just 18 months from the digital switch over and so you wont have a choice soon, by a box or watch nought. Those who have eurosport coverage are able to get digital in any case and it's only £30 for a set top box if you dont. There's only so much longer people can keep going on about access for all. TV-land is changing and no amount of complaining about it is going to alter that fact.
Dave you are spot on matey and i'm sure that's something they'll be looking at too...least i hope they will as it would save a lot of confusion trying to find whats on where.

Oi and not to be rude but Layton you can feck right off lol Whitam belongs to SBK...screw that, he's just become my property and will be commentating from my living room from here on in :P , bad enough they keep nicking him for BSB this year as when he isn't on we get that Aussie geezer who can only ever big up other Aussies.... (and no i'm no Aussie hater but this dude is blinkered lol). I really hope he's commentating at Brno but given that anytime BSB and WSB clash he seems to be on BSB it aint looking good

Goes of to start a campaign on facebook "Give Whitam back to WSB!" :D

Tokehashi, just got your name and whilst i don't agree with your comments the name is rather cool :)

I''m slightly happier. I''d have split a blood vessal if I''d found out they weren''t gonna make an effort to cover the 125 and 250GPs. They are at least making some sort of effort, so that''s good. I honestly am as hooked on 125GPs as I am on MotoGP this year :) I''m not *that* bothered about FP and Qualifying, as, apart from the ast 2-3 mins of qualifying, they aren''t that interesting.

I agree the commentary on the BBC is a bit dodgy, I could do without it really. I don''t consider myself ''old skool'' (I''ve only been watching GPs since 2003) and I find the Moody/Rider/Mamola team to be top class, I''ll miss them if they don''t move to the beeb. They''ve had me in creases at times.

For one, I'm glad that the BBC has extended the deal - I don't have access to Eurosport, so it's a real frustration to miss live BSB & WSB racing. MotoGP not being available would be dire.
On the other hand, it would be great if the current commentary team went west - there are only so many times that you can stand Parrish going on about a contact patch the size of a credit card, or Cox exclaiming he needed that like a third armpit. Some professionals please.

Okay I know many of you are Eurosport fans but there are a few things I want to clear up. MotoGP will be on BBC2 for the race coverage with the 125 and 250 QP2 and races, MotoGP Qualifying and MotoGP Extra all on the red button which has an increasingly large reach as well as being on the I-Player a service unique to the BBC coverage.Bernie and Dorna work their calendars out together and the races don't clash and haven't for the last few years. Occasionally we are long-haul when they are in Europe and vice versa. I am happy to answer any other sensible questions.

This is a sad for me! I will be gutted sad to lose the comprehensive Eurosport coverage, I beleive the commentary is the best you can get and BBC's is second rate (though Parish did do some of the best pit lane interviews I have ever heard when he guested on Skys BSB coverage, he was very good at sniffinga round, far better then the like iof Brundle)!

Waht will happen with Saturday Races like Assen, will we have to wait until sunday to view a recorded race?
