I have to take my hat off for Sylvain, without TC to a 6th position = great class!

Perhaps this puts the effect of traction control in perspective.

yeah, remember few riders (like Robert jr) who make their opinion about advanced TC 'with turning TC off riding is better, you feel more bike and you make faster laps' so I think for some riders (especially Ducati?) with decreased TC to minimum or TC off they can ride like they want.

Yeh but Kenny Roberts Jr could probably do a similar best of his lap times if he's pushing it let alone tc/no tc lol

That's pure rider skill for you.. do this for the other riders on the grid as well and we will have an exciting series.. 1 question though: does Ducati provide them the traction control units or it's the lookout of the Alice team ? Something going on in my mind so just curious .. somebody please answer .. cheers :)

TC is just one part of the equation.

If you have smooth constant power delivery/engine mapping, the need and indeed benefit recieved from TC diminishes, especially for professional riders with solid throttle control.

Elias had far too much traction control I thought...if you watch the race again, listen to his ducati when Rossi lapped him.....awful stutter stutter everywhere, far too much... and Stoners is obviously the same system but 'backed off' dramatically. I was half expecting elias to have announced he had problems also, but obviously he kicked it out to maximum just to get the bike home !!?

Don't believe it for a second.....may have turned down one aspect of it, but that's all. Next ducati press release will say stoner ran the same setup....I'm the same Grizz something definately fishy about this.....

If this is true, then why don't they ban TC all together and bring an end to the debate?
