This is great news for team and rider, Edwards brings so much to the table, his relationship with Factory and with Michelin.
Michelin show Edwards ALL the love now, not like they did when he was testing tires for rossi where rossi would get the cream, but not no more: and beside what a better way to get-m back. So happy for him and besides all that, he can't leave yet… still gota get that WiN GO Colin

ZX9R Steve Bang ON!!!

"think HONDA SP2" and bayliss monza race WOW!!!

and wot then happened he did not get a honda ride but an aprillia ride some muppet from AMA got the honda ride WTF !!!.

Never ever understood this COLIN WON THE WORLD SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP on a Honda Brilliantly and then Honda give the honda gp ride to an AMA rider.??????????

i have never forgiven honda for their decision to give the AMA champion the ride instead and look how brilliant he's been 3 wins in 4 or 5 yrs worthy choice i think (NOT!!!!!!!).

Go Colin great guy fully deserving.

It is truly interesting that Edwards should be re-signed. Would a Pom get as many chances? Nice to see it though. Now Yamaha has Edwards & Toseland at Tech 3 and Lorenzo on the Fiat bike, what's the story about Rossi joining Ducati? Has he got over his tobacco aversion? It will make for a fantastic finale to an astounding career.

It's still mind numbing to think how Colin won 2 WSBK titles for Honda and they gave the HRC ride to Nicky. Not only did they not give Colin the ride but they disbanded his Castrol Honda WSBK team! How's that for high and dry? American Honda made HRC take Hayden and that's why HRC don't even like him. Only Honda would publicly say that they didn't build a bike for the reigning world championship but for their chosen one Pedrosa last year. Honda is the only company that would run Val off. Shows how they treat riders - like factory workers!

LOL at ZX9R! Hayden has won the World Championship. That's a fact. Edwards gets so much support from bashers like him because he's no threat to the top riders. If the Edwards/Hayden situation was reversed,it would be Hayden getting the praise and Edwards getting bashed.
Grow up!

Roadrage,I agree. Edwards has done better than expected this year but never win the WC. Sorry not even with Stoner and Rossi having mechanicals. I believe that Hayden has the talent and commitment to win it again on a bike that suits him not Dani.

roadrage/paul 27 - yes Nicky did win the world championship, and no one can take that away. He was on the best bike and was a little lucky. I think the main issue is that Honda did not give Colin the opportunity when he was in his prime, when he was riding incredible races back in 2002. Not giving him that ride, and forcing him to ride that POS cube meant that his first seasons in motogp werea joke. He has had some good races whilst at Yamaha, and there is some life in him yet.

Think almost everyone would be very happy if he was to win a race - noone is expecting him to win the championship!

Don't think I can ever part with my Edwards rep SP2 - that 2002 season was pure class!

delboy. Edwards was not as good as Sete G on a semi works Honda. He was not as good as Rossi on a works Yam. No one could have peddled the Aprilia around faster except maybe Haga, and thats my point. Edwards, if the truth be known is probably the third best superbike rider of all time, but sadly thats where it ends.
(1st Fogarty, 2nd Bayliss.)
