Just watched the interviews...

stoner is pathetic...was that a break check...who knows...no respect at all, and now i know i was right not to be a big fan of this lad..

yes it was heated and unless he comes out and makes an apology for acting like a child and his comments in the interview, i doubt he'll have many fans at all...apart from the little groupies who'll stick by his side..

rossi has made a miracle today, everyone was wondering how much stoner wud win by, and if rossi could come 2nd or not...well even i got proved wrong cos i didnt think rossi had it in him, but what a nice surprise..

as for stoner's comments about being in the dirt..u got urself in there lad...chin up =]

You see Phil C

If someone had pulled that same more on Val, there would have been an outcry of bad form, bad sportsmanship, blah, blah, blah, blah.

In my opinion, Stoner did have Rossi's measure, but screw it up with a loss of patience. It was great racing from both riders and I really enjoyed the racing.

I wonder if Stoner made a big deal and said "this rider will never win a race again" How the Stoner bashers on here would take that. Some people are blinkered and hard to please. I am sure we have all made mistakes and walked away p!ssed off.

Seems to me only Rossi has never made a mistake, well is you believe the fools on here

Where are the exccuses?

Stoner admits he made a mistake. I am said he lacked patience and stuffed up. I think we have all agreed that Rossi was the better rider on the days.

Where are the excuses?????????????

I agree with Bayliss and other great Aussie motorcycle racers as great examples for Casey but Troy Corser is not one of them......Corser is almost as big of a baby as Mat Mladin!!!!!

Doohan & Bayliss yes...Corser, Mladin..No.

Not an Aussie, but it seems like either the Aussie is tough as nails and invulnerable like Bayliss and Doohan or babies like Stoner and Mladin...and Aussies want to comment?

Is it like Mexico City vs. poor Mexico..?? French Canadian vs. Canadian??...what gives?

King James, the comments, apart from the usual girlie Poms, have been pretty spot-on. I was surprised at Stoner's comment about some of the passes. Rossi rattled him big time. If he'd had a cool head in his camp in earlier years (someone like Ron Toombs, or Warren Willing), he may not have let his emotions overtake his riding, as it appeared to do a few times. Still, I admire the kid for riding that thing so hard. It ain't always pretty, but he's consistently doing a better job on the Ducati than ANYONE has. Be nice to see Spies in there full time. And get Vermuelen a more competitive bike. Even a sattelite Honda, but on Bridgestones.

Awesome race!!! Well done Valentino the dogged determination is what wins championships and its great to see that your talent will be around for at least 2 more years. Chris V a great dry podium, I would love to see you on a better bike. Stoner as a fellow Aussie I am disappointed that do not take defeat graciously, like all the other riders who are beaten by you when you win races. To the public you come across as a sore loser. We need the media to publish the sportsmanship of this great sport, not the whinging. The best race of the year so far. Michael (Australia)

Mat Mladin a baby? Get real! He's as tough as nails. Ask all the blokes he hammers year after year. Why do you think Spies is different to the other Yanks? Because Mladin has hardened him up. He's not out there to make up the places. To be the only bloke to beat Mladin (sames tyres, same bikes) is a HUGE feather in Spies cap. With that background, he will be mentally tougher than anyone in MotoGP. Trouble is, will be get the equipment to allow him to eventually race Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, Dovizioso and Lorenzo. They are the RACERS in MotoGP.

I seem to remember a race at Suzuka many moons ago where Biaggi was running Rossi off the track, Rossi just gave Biaggi the bird and got on with it.

I'll tell you Aussies summat, you sure are turning into the biggest whinging bugggers going.
I have nothing but the gresatest admiration for the great aussie ambassadors like Bayliss, Corser, even Glen Richards here in the uk, all good honest lads.

But you guys are taking it as an insult on Australia when we have a crack at Stoner, i was at Donington when he was interviewed by the curcuit commentators and just mouthed off, and on the BBC interview today the same, i'm sorry but the guy is a tosser..end of!

as an American, and former (amatuer) road racer, its great to see Ben Spies being talked up in other camps than our own. hes clearly benefited from his yeaers of racing against the likes of Mladin, and i'd love to see him get a chance to wring the neck of that unruly but blindingly fast Ducati..i believe hes as good a man for the task as any out there

Does anyone know what the GB lead team came up with this time to basically make VR's Yamaha almost a second a lap faster for the race? Once in front he could dictate the pace on a circuit that is very difficult to pass on. From overhead you could see the dust on the track edge that caught out those who were late on the brakes and ran slightly wide.
CS was lucky to finish second after his second error but at least he had a go at trying to get the #1 spot.

When the riders return for the second half of the season lets hope DP can pull off a few wins and hopefully we will have a three way finish for the championship.
