It was a real Race. Just ignore the Spoilt Brat. He is not happy when he comes in 2nd. He is not Happy when he comes in 3rd. He is not Happy when he comes in 4th. Practically the team had to push him to continue when he was coming in 16th. He wants to be first all of the time. Otherwise he wants his Soccer ball back and go home so that no one else can play if they dont let him score.

I've been reading all the post about Stoner wouldn't be winning if it wasn't for all the electronics and all that crap well I hate to tell all the Rossi fans but Rossi would n't have won all these champioships if it wasn't for one Jeremy Burgess a man with more world champioships as an engineer than both Rossi and Doohan combined, that's why Rossi payed his way to Yamaha. So before everyone discounts Stoner's abilities because "it's the Ducati",should remember Rossi wouldn't be were he is without Burgess.

Oh come on Casey, its called racing blasting off into the distance and winning every race by 30/40 seconds is only going to last so long, the japanese manufacturers are closing the obvious horsepower/electronics gap and whilst you are undoubtedly one of the best riders Rossi for me is still the best, continually him and G burgees come up with the awnser to get a not quite so good bike ahead of the better bike wether its a Hondo or a Ducati, you just have to pray they never end up with the best bike, you saw the results of that when Rossi was a Honda rider. p cardy Rossi fan forever.

What else do you think Burgo would say, there is a small conflict of interest that needs to be reconginised here!!!
:?

Here's a thought if the Corkscrew incident resulted in Casey crashing into Rossi, would Rossi or Casey be at fault?

I'm all for proper racing and want to see more of it. I can't wait for the new era of racing now that Rossi has set the precedent in race etiquette. My only concerns is that it will be reined in when the more profitable riders are on the receiving end of the hard racing tactics

The MotoGP fraternity had done a lot to improve the safety of the sport since the 1980's,

Burn the Black Flag and Let the fights begins

Marc, can you tell me one rider that likes coming second,Stoner stated he didn't like a couple of moves by Rossi, gee no rider has ever said that before wake up to youself,I didn't know you were out there doing 250kmh and getting block passed.Rossi whinged about Elias, but thats OK.Everyone knows the biggest whingers were Fogerty and Biaggi. At least Stoner admited he stuffed up read more than 1 line in a statement and you get the whole story

after watching one of the most thrilling races i have ever seen, i must agree with jerry burgess in thinking that casey just wasn''t expecting rossi or anybody to challenge him. is it just sour grapes that things didnt go the way he wanted. perhaps casey was begining to believe he was unbeatable, which possibly most spectators have thought this season. hope danni is back soon to add to the excitment in the climax of a truly great championship

Oehh Kwaka, touchy :)

No racer likes losing but some just deal with it better then others. I don't think the aussie racers i mentioned are very well known for their sense of humour. I agree that Foggy and Biaggi aren't very cheary either. But can you name 4 Brittish or Italian wellknown racers without a sense of humour?

I think Stoner should laugh a little more. Better luck next time and all that. If you lose you should ask yourself what you have done wrong instead of point the finger at someone else

STONER!!!! WTF are you doing?????
Not shaking Rossi's hand, and then if you did actually tell Rossi that you have lost respect for him, dude come on, your not that much of an idiot are you?

I like Casey and am a big fan: I also think Rossi is one of the best racers ever to throw a leg over a bike, but Casey is really not doing him self any favours with his comments and off bike actions.
I am not surprised that he was a bit pissed at the Rossi move at the corkscrew, no mater what Rossi says, I do not think you intentionally hit the dirt, unless you have over cooked it or are in some trouble. I think Stoner could have gained a lot more respect as a racer, if he had not acted like a ****.

The race at Laguna was another example of why motorcycle racing is purer and more spectacular than four wheeled motorsport, it was also another reminder to Stoner and everyone else out there that Valentino Rossi is still the Daddy!

JB is right, if Stoner had been around in the 70's and 80's he'd have seen that kind of racing every weekend, Stiner was sore because he didn't have it all his own way.

Another thing that we on the outside don't know is how much additional commercial pressure there are on these guys, Rossi had just signed a two year extension with Yamaha, Ducati's CEO was present as were all the decision makers from DNA (Ducati North America) so God only knows the pressure!
