It was a real Race. Just ignore the Spoilt Brat. He is not happy when he comes in 2nd. He is not Happy when he comes in 3rd. He is not Happy when he comes in 4th. Practically the team had to push him to continue when he was coming in 16th. He wants to be first all of the time. Otherwise he wants his Soccer ball back and go home so that no one else can play if they dont let him score.

You mean that Casey is now so angry that he will win all the races? Bump him out as revenge? I'm curious.
Outbraking him is unlikely :p

G'day to you

"ricky rickster" - utter cobblers fella. What kind of surprise are you talking about? Is Stoner going to carry a can of old engine oil round with him and throw it out when Rossi comes past?? No, they'll be no surprises for Rossi because everything Stoner had in his locker he threw at Rossi on Sunday and he just batted it away. VR rode an amazing race on a slower bike and won fair and square. Stoner is a brat, period.

Exactly where was the Yamaha slower than the Ducati, the best Stoner could do down the main straight was get along side Rossi. He never had enough to pull a pass on him, only place I could see the Ducati had an advantage was up the hill to the corkscrew - and this was only marginal.
Anyway they should get rid of the 800's, they are to fast through the corners and that's why there isn't as much overtaking. Let's go 1200's with no Traction Control, a bit like riding a wild bull and sort the men out from the boys.
The top AMA riders could have qualified in the top 10-12 in MotoGP.

Well apart from the ONE incident when Rossi ran over the rumblestrip at the corkscrew
I saw nothing worth bitching about at all! AND was I the only one who saw Stoner cut right across Rossi's bow's going into turn 2 whenever he attempted an overtaking manoeuvre? (more than once too)

Basically, get used to REAL racing Casey! Christ knows the sport needs some excitement
back into it! Bring back the REAL racers like Sheene, Roberts, Mamola, Doohan, Schwantz and Rainey. I never ONCE heard any of them bitch after a race, the just gave back better next time and got on with it! :)

I don't get this notion that it is amazing to win at Laguna on a slower bike?

If a bike has the best brakes, steers into corners more predictably, gets on to the power more smoothly out of corners and the track has no straight, how can anyone expect a rider on the faster bike (which is so difficult to ride only one guy can get onto the podium) to stretch its legs and win?

I think Casey did a great job taking it to the Doc, Maybe I'm biased and wrong, but I've always seen Casey as a respectful and fair dude, honest to a fault. Yes, the racing WAS TOUGHER IN THE 80's, but he was only born then and, hey, we're in a whole new millennium now! We used to get drunk and dragrace on the street!

"Rossi round the outside of stoner at turn 3... fantastic to watch!!!"

I think this was with 17 laps to go.
But they didn't show it on eurosport (they were showing commercials) and I can't find that lap anywhere.
Can you tell me on what tv channel you saw it or maybe you know a site where it is uploadet.
Thanks

Stoner moaned after the race...

Rossi dismissed Stoner's comments about the unfairness of certain moves.

'On the podium he told me that he'd lost respect for me because he's been racing for many years and he doesn't remember ever having a race like that,' said the Italian.

Well if he's been racing for many years, I've been racing for a lifetime and I don't know who he's been racing against but I remember all my races being like that and my rivals always fought that way.' :p :p

Apologies, forgot to add this last para....

'He's used to the mentality of racing at the front with a four second advantage over the field but racing shoulder-to-shoulder brings other factors into play,' said Rossi :) :)

predictable speech of who doesn't have what it takes to keep the pace until the end of one of the great battles i've seen in motogp, and i believe noone can't deny it. in each move made by those two, mostly in the first laps, i had that feeling that i was missing for a long time now. this was motogp at his best, and the race had nothing "ilegal" about it. stoner is the actual champion and he deserved it, regardless of having the best bike and the tyre problems rossi had last year. but rossi... is just the best driver, he's just what racing is all about.
