It was a real Race. Just ignore the Spoilt Brat. He is not happy when he comes in 2nd. He is not Happy when he comes in 3rd. He is not Happy when he comes in 4th. Practically the team had to push him to continue when he was coming in 16th. He wants to be first all of the time. Otherwise he wants his Soccer ball back and go home so that no one else can play if they dont let him score.

Never seen such a brilliant display of racing skill turned around by a bunch of sad losers.
Accept that Stoner has been beat by the best racer in the world, it is no shame it is a compliment to Caseys ability that he can push Vale so much that he has to take and display all his skills and ability!

Maybe in time Stoner will realize that this was one of the best races of his career and he will regret his utterings,
they switched positions at places where no one thought would be possible on that very difficult track.

Trying to win it after the race is a pathetic, you should do it on the track!

NOW STOP WHINGING!

@buelliful

RE: Did you see how far infront Casey was in practice and qualifying?

No, but I heard it was good enough to beat VR by 20 secs or so.

That's usually a sign that a bike and rider are in a FAR better position to win a race than being 0.8s a lap slower...

I agree but I thought the Yamaha was supposed to be more nimble and suited to the twisty, undulating Laguna Track. I figured the Ducati would go well if it got an unimpeded run out in front but in a dual I would rather be on the Yamaha...

Rossi rode the wheels off that bike to take the race to Stoner, most definitely NOT
the other way round!

Yeah, your right, LOL! I gotta stop smokin this ****

I remember Hayden got some serious stick from Rossi fans when he won the title, even though Hayden is a great person (unlike Stoner, some might say).

I dont think the problem is Stoner. The problem is, somebody beat Rossi to the title.
The hounds have now been let loose on Stoner.

Slightly off topic, but Rossi made a mistake at two crucial points in title races:
Valencia (2006), Motegi (2007).

Stoner has to take it to the wire.

I think I will get a lot of 'disagrees' :D

Why is there no mention of the move stoner made on rossi a couple of laps before he fell off when he ran rossi off the track rossi had the line rossi was in front, both riders were racing hard and taking risks, may the best rider win and he did.

Fierce fightings between riders is one of the reasons why MotoGP started gaining popularity and even now the fans are always hoping that they can see as many of these in the next races.

If stoner doesn't agree to this, and only think that everyone should be a pussy like him then he should just go back to where he came from and race dingos instead.

RXRacer. Wow, to say Rossi was running ragged edge the whole race while Stoner wasn't is incredibly ignorant. While Rossi did make one overly-deep braking move into the corkscrew that put him in the dirt, the rest of the race he was amazingly smooth...especially compared to Stoner! I saw at least 3 big rear-end slides and 2 or more front end pushes out of Stoner that defined the word "ragged". Oh, and Stoner running off in the final turn? You may have noticed that moment was the closest of the entire race where they both could've been taken out! Not sure what race you were watching, but it wasn't Laguna Seca last Sunday. Maybe you were playing MotoGP on your XBOX?

:) :p LATEST NEWS !!!!!!

But in an interview with Corriere dello Sport Rossi dismissed Stoner's comments about the unfairness of certain moves.

“On the podium he told me that he'd lost respect for me because he's been racing for many years and he doesn't remember ever having a race like that,” said the Italian.

“Well, if he's been racing for many years, I've been racing for a lifetime and I don't know who he's been racing against but I remember all my races being like that and my rivals always fought that way.”

The paper also asked Rossi if he had the advantage over Stoner when it came to close battles.

The paper also asked Rossi if he had the advantage over Stoner when it came to close battles.

“He's used to the mentality of racing at the front with a four-second advantage over the field but racing shoulder-to-shoulder brings other factors into play,” said Rossi.

“Hence this time I won and I'm happy.”

Rossi also told Gazzetta dello Sport that he felt his move at Cavatappi was his best of all time.

“It's difficult to classify races especially as this season I've had many back and forth battles,” he said.

“But for sure this was one of my best five victories because Stoner is a tough cookie.

“And the pass at Cavatappi was the best of my career: he barely braked on the bend and me even less so, so little in fact that my wheels touched the gravel.”
