It was a real Race. Just ignore the Spoilt Brat. He is not happy when he comes in 2nd. He is not Happy when he comes in 3rd. He is not Happy when he comes in 4th. Practically the team had to push him to continue when he was coming in 16th. He wants to be first all of the time. Otherwise he wants his Soccer ball back and go home so that no one else can play if they dont let him score.

I liked Stoner until he pulled that move...
While I respect his racing background and of course he's a great rider...making the statement about his experience and complaining about the passes made him out to be a cry baby. As Rossi said...this is racing get over it (and BTW I race as well...never once have I cried about a close pass or even when contact is made)
Fact is Stoner is pissed because he was ahead of everyone and nobody expected Rossi to even challenge for the win, truth is we all saw how much heart Rossi has, even when things went wrong for Rossi in 06 and last year we didn't see him complaining or making excuses. That's why Rossi is the great champion and legend he is!

"I'd like to see any of you have a bike shoot across your path into you at warp speed and keep completely quiet about it.

uhmm.. hello??? That's why WE are NOT racing in motogp, cause we don't have the mental and physical abilities to deal with that. These guys are professionals. I don't think it's out of the line for professionals. Plus, we see this everyday in other racing series. Watch this weekend's F1? Bike shooting across your path at warp speed is called a "pass."

Very good comments Nicko (you sicko). I saw several cases of over-use of the throttle which caused the Ducati to get badly out of shape. I also saw Stoner lose the front at least twice and recover. For those reading this, watch the race again and focus like a hawk on Stoner. You'll see several mistake-ridden laps that may have contributed to his loss. He was very clearly rattled...probably over-confident and WAS NOT expecting such a ferocious attack.

rossi wasnt on the ragged edge he knew that it is an incredibly difficult track to overtake, stayed cool and just rode the racing line knowing stoner would always have to go the long way round. in the end casey got frustrated and desperate, if he'd just remained calm he could have won the race. rossi made a mistake at the bottom of the corkscrew but didnt intentionally push stoner to the edge of the track, as for the other moves very clean shows what talent the man has, best race of the year so far by a mile.

"I agree but I thought the Yamaha was supposed to be more nimble and suited to the twisty, undulating Laguna Track. I figured the Ducati would go well if it got an unimpeded run out in front but in a dual I would rather be on the Yamaha..."

It didn't seem to bother Casey much at Sachsenring either...or Jerez in GP Zero. (small twisy tracks with little or no real straights.)

"Yeah, your right, LOL! I gotta stop smokin this ****"

No you don't! Give me some too! Lol! :)

Stoner should have watched the US Rookies Cup Race... elbow-to-elbow, bouncing off of each other passing the finish line. Those kids shook hands right after turn one, I'm sure none of them complained.

I think Casey is mad because now he has to eat his word of "none."

I recorded the race and dreaded watching it after I got home, cause I felt Casey is just gonna run away with it. And man, what a surprise!

non-plussed is right. The Ducati moved much more than the M1 as the race went on.

People are so quick to forget Valentino complaining about Elias last year in turkey for Elias' hard passes which were very similar to Vale's passes on Stoner.

Laguna seca had to be one of the best races we've seen in along time. It's getting boring, the leader always being 10 seconds infront. we should be having that sort of race every weekend!
I don't think for 1 minute any of rossi's passes wer unfair, toby, julian and randy all said it was a clean race and they'd know.
Casey was on the limit and so was rossi, theres no way valentino was holding casey up. Stoner was probably just upset and maybe a bit embarressed at how the race planned out, if he was that certain he was going to win.
